Amazing Grace: We all love this solo. In fact if people were asked, religious or not, it would probably rate high on their list of favourite hymns. Like many other favourites I wonder how often we really ponder the deep and profound truth contained therein.... "Amazing grace, how sweet the soundI once was lost, but now I’m found. In a world where so many are just waiting for us to make a mistake so they can pass judgement how wonderful that we have a God whose love is always gracious and forgiving. Covid has caused so much stress in our lives that often we are filled with feelings that were formerly unknown to us. Anger surfaces quickly and unexpectedly, frustration over the restrictions placed upon our lives make us irritable and sometimes rude. We have little patience. We simply are not ourselves. While others may not have the patience to step back and understand, our God promises always, in all circumstances to forgive. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound.
