Tomorrow's reading is 1 John 5:5-13, the Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 147 and the Gospel reading is Luke 5:12-16. Grant, we ask, almighty God, that the Nativity of the Saviour of the world, made known by the guidance of a star, may be revealed ever more fully to our minds. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast of Saint Andre Bessette, Patron of Family Caregivers. Known to many in Montreal as Brother Andre, Andre Bessette served for years as the porter of the College Notre-Dame, where he welcomed the sick and afflicted, praying with them through the intercession of St. Joseph. The reading is 1 John 4:19-5:4, the Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 72 and the Gospel reading is Luke 4:14-22a. Lord our God, friend of the humble, who blessed your servant Saint... Andre Bessette with a great devotion to Saint Joseph and a remarkable concern for the afflicted and the needy, grant that, through his intercession, we may follow his example of prayer and charity and so enter with him to behold the splendor of your glory. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. See more

Tomorrow is the Memorial of Saint Andrew Dung-Lac and Companions. In June 1988, Pope John Paul II declared 117 Vietnamese martyrs saints of the Church. The reading is Revelation 14:14-19, the Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 96 and the Gospel reading is Luke 21:5-11. O God, source and origin of all fatherhood, who kept the Martyrs Saint Andrew Dung-Lac and his companions faithful to the Cross of your Son, even to the shedding of their blood, grant, through their intercession, that, spreading your love among our brothers and sisters, we may be your children both in name and in truth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR 2021!!! We are celebrating and welcoming another year into our lives. More than happiness and joy, the past year was a period of uncertainty, concern, fear, sickness, separation, and death; still it will be a historical year to remember for generations to come. Roman mythology teaches the story of the god Janus from which the name for the first month, January, was derived. January is named after Janus (Ianuarius), the god of the doorway; the name h...as its beginnings in Roman mythology. Janus is the god of gates, doorways, beginnings, and time. Most often he is depicted as having two heads, facing opposite directions; one head looks back at the last year while the other looks forward to the new, simultaneously into the future and the past. It makes sense especially this year that if we can look to the past and learn to live the future the world will be a better place for everyone to enjoy. The past face of Janus reminds us not to repeat the faults of the past and to step forward in the virtues of humanity. Do not forget the past, neither sleep on the past, but transition our lives respecting the creation and Adoring the Creator. Entering a new year with much expectation, planning and hope we can still live a life. 2020 taught us how to overcome the unexpected. May 2021 make us to live what can be expected. So, let us enter this new year with prayer and passion to live God given lives. Wishing you all the Best of 2021.
