An abundance of gratitude to Loblaws, Great Canadian Superstore , Food Banks Canada and Food Banks BC for the amazing "Loblaws Holiday Food Drive" This amazing campaign brought in nearly 5000 lbs of Food and sundries!!! This enabled us to provide substantial Christmas hampers for nearly 400 clients/families. Young actors came in and volunteered to see how we operate. They then gave a live stream presentation of Neverland on YouTube, then they Collected close to 300 for us So awesome to see young students/actors stepping up, considering they are needing support themselves, yet still share with us!! Soooooo awesome!! Thank you Jesters Theatre!!

Well Christmas is over, and here at the Food Bank we're feeling pretty overwhelmed with the blessings from our community. Each day is a Blessing even when there is anxiety when dealing with life’s challenges. At St. Joseph’s Food Bank here in Mission our purpose is to help meet the food needs of our community as best as we can. We are always reminded of our call to serve. Food Banks Canada recently said that 34% of those relying on food banks nationally are children...and they only represent 19% of the population

So proud to be Canadian . Tonite we are watching a very special tv show... on all networks called STRONGER TOGETHER. A national coast to coast production including many of our greatest entertainers and other leaders... all sharing their inspiring and engaging thoughts as together we move forward with this Covid19 health challenge. Add to this, an opportunity to donate to Food Banks Canada to help ALL food banks across our great Canada...this includes St.Joseph’s Food Bank in Mission, BC.

Update: To our valued current and future customers, due to low numbers in customers this last month we are now offering deliveries for our pre assembled hampers. Still dispersing on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. Please contact Wendy at 778-201-5000 to arrange a delivery if you are not able to make it down.

A HUGE thanks to Parkside Church for collecting and donating all these goods! We're so grateful Any further donations are still needed and appreciated and can be dropped off at the foodbank between 10am - noon daily.

Attention to our valued registered customers: We're doing distribution a little differently this Thursday. We're handing out hampers instead of having people come in and do their normal shopping to reduce germ-sharing . If people are feeling under the weather... they should stay in their vehicles and we will bring the hampers to their vehicles. Also, there is a LIMITED amount of food so we will be needing donations again. We need soup and other canned goods, especially canned pasta, veggies, and beans. Any *non-expired or partially used* donations are GREATLY appreciated!

Hunger and the need to have food...is not seasonal. Life’s challenging times are not scheduled. They happen. Thankfully in Mission BC, there is help and caring available through St. Joseph’s Food Bank. Everyday is a caring day.... our goal is help those in need
