It is #DigitalHealthWeek! This week celebrates and recognizes how digital health is transforming the delivery of care across Canada. It is also the perfect time to celebrate our Digital Solutions team & highlight their outstanding success including: - Enabling digital health care pathways (clinical documentation, equipment requirements and digital training) during the COVID-19 pandemic, both on-site, at assessment centres and at satellite health facilities. - Supporting virtu...al care workflows across the organization so that patients can continue to receive the care they need; to-date, we have had more than 45K video visits! - Equipping our staff and physicians with tools like Zoom to allow all to work effectively while remote; since deploying Zoom in March, St. Joe's staff and physicians have had nearly 40K meetings! - Ensuring the best care possible for patients transitioning between St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and St. Joseph's Villa through digital health information exchange tools - Multiple improvements to our Cyber Security threat monitoring, vulnerability management, firewall capacity/functionality and in progress, the monitoring of IoT and medical devices. Thank you to our volunteers who are handcrafting lap blankets for St. Joe’s palliative patients. St. Joe’s Volunteer Resources Coordinator Christina Sanders says the lap blankets help support the dignity of critically ill patients, and their families. The blankets keep patients cozy, and upon their passing, are given to their families for comfort.
