Larissa from @sciencenorth joined Mrs. Boyd’s class on Zoom for a virtual presentation about trees. This workshop was in partnership with @clearwaterkids_ , and it focussed on the importance of trees and forests to our planet. The students were engaged in conversations about what trees need to grow and flourish, and how trees adapt to their environment ... like our cold Northern Ontario winters! Thank you Larissa! It was great to have a new, friendly face in our classroom!

Teachers and classroom teams are setting up classrooms with distance being a priority and our custodians are ensuring we are stocked with sanitizer, soap, and paper towels to keep our hands squeaky clean . We are so excited to see everyone next week! Have a restful long weekend!

Today we say goodbye to these amazing teachers. They have accepted positions at other schools. Due to school closures we are not able to properly wish them the best in their new schools, but we can here. I thank them for their service at St. Jude School and wish them all the best in their new placements.
