Earlier this month, on July 9, 2020, Saint Lucia welcomed the first flight from American Airlines, after the COVID-19 shutdown. The commercial flight arrived at Hewanorra International Airport from Miami International Airport. The flight maintained the new safety protocols and was welcomed by Steel Pan Music.

We recently were featured on 'A Place In The Sun', a TV show from the UK! It was an absolute pleasure to host Scarlette Douglas and the Team at Akasha. I think someone has a promising acting career ahead of them!

What a recent guest said about Akasha. Akasha is a stunningly beautiful villa - It achieves a graceful balance of glamour and easy living. We wanted to give our guests a week in a luxurious villa where they could completely relax, and this was perfect. We are very private, so I was concerned that the on site staff might make things a bit too starchy, but I needn't have worried. Juliette and her sister Marietta were discreet, but always ready to help. Juliette is a wizard with spices, and bakes wonderful bread. Our guests loved the ease of made to order breakfasts and lunches. Fred, the house manager, went above and beyond rounding up some forgotten essentials. The personal service and luxury far exceed most high end resorts.

More than 7,000 individual islands, including 13 sovereign nations and 12 dependencies, make up the sun-soaked Caribbean so picking just one is a tricky task. Some suit beachgoers, while others are made for adventure. There are also islands for history buffs, naturalists, night owls and lovers of luxury. St Lucia offers a little of everything, making it the perfect option for first-time visitors to the region.

Our latest guest gave us some feedback - St. Lucia was a beautiful island but Akasha was absolutely stunning! It was one of the most beautiful places we have been. The view is amazing...no picture can do the view justice. We had planned to go out and about throughout the week, but the house was so amazing, we ended up spending the majority of our trip at the house. Fred and Julietta went above and beyond in taking care of us. George was an awesome driver! The staff at Luxury Retreats were friendly and were accommodating. We would love to book with Luxury Retreats again. We will be returning to stay at Akasha again. Absolutely stunning!

If dining out is an important part of your vacation, then St Lucia is the island for you. There are so many options ranging from high-end restaurants to inexpensive local eateries. If you plan to dine out a lot on your vacation, it is probably ideal to stay at one of the villas on the island rather than an all inclusive hotel. Akasha villa is the best villa on the island and the concierge there will advise you on lots of great places to eat.

Not only are these cities getting lie-flat business-class seats theyre getting the best business class in the market. I couldnt have predicted my trip to St. Lucia would lead me to Laborie, Saint Lucia, a fishing village on the Caribbean islands southern coast thats off nearly every visitors radar. Or to Fake Elvis. But it wasnt pure accident, either. Im a big proponent of having a quest when I travel, even if its random, which is why Ive come to Saint Lucia with a clarinet named Jeff. My goal isnt to learn scalesthough thatd be nicebut rather to see what a hunt to find a music tutor on the island reveals about everyday life here.
