The Confession of St. Peter #Mp2Go
So grateful to have our congregation and those on Facebook join us online each week. The pews are a bit light due to the pandemic, but attendance is still in abundance. Praise God Just like Nathanael we are being invited to come and see the wondrous ways of following Christ in new and unexpected ways.
Sundays 2 pm beginning November 29th. Christmas will be different this year thanks to Covid-19. All the hustle and bustle of consumerism and lavish events that have overshadowed the meaning of Christmas are gone. The world has entered into a time of expectant waiting and preparation for a vacine and a brand-new year. Advent is a season that is officially observed in many churches. The four weeks before Christmas are set aside as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for... the celebration of Jesus’ birth. The term advent is a version of the Latin word which means coming. But Advent is not just an extension of Christmas, it is a season that links the past, present and future. Advent offers us the opportunity to share in the ancient longing for the coming of the Messiah, to celebrate His birth, and to be alert for His second coming. As we begin a new liturgical year, please join us on our Advent journey as we ReDiscover Christmas with our 4- week sermon series event as we rediscover: HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and LOVE. This series of sermons uses culturally relevant teachings that recognize all that we are facing and have endured this year. Please join us as we prepare to celebrate our blessings and the greatest gift we were ever given: our savior Jesus the Christ.
This is an incredible opportunity for people who are driven to further the Kingdom of God through mission.

Our service for today!
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ, I pray this message finds you in good health. It is with a saddened heart that I bring this news. Premier Stephen McNeil and Doctor Strang gave a COVID-19 press conference yesterday in which new restrictions were applied to the HRM. These restrictions include a pause of religious services for two weeks. Therefore, St. Mark’s Sunday service will once again be online only and can be seen both on Facebook and YouTube at 10:00 AM. This cha...nge in regulations will affect most of the Advent and Christmas activities normally enjoyed during the season. The good news is that the food bank will remain open and Jubilate Singers and Friends December 13th @7:00 p.m. virtual concert for Christmas food boxes will still offer some much-needed joy to our community this season. However, some of the activities in the parish have been altered or canceled. The Christmas Market / Bake table has been canceled. Thank you to everyone who had volunteered to donate baked goods, lasagna, jams, jellies, and pickles: it was truly appreciated. Thank you Sandra & Mabel for arranging everything. Coffee, Tea, and Conversation is canceled The Mission to seafarers is still ongoing, please drop off donations on Tuesdays during office hours. The church calendar is still available, please request a copy by email and the church will send out in the mail. Payment will go to Doug Mullenger (drop cash or cheque in the office). Please continue to send us your prayer requests so that we can add it to our Prayers of the People. The ReDiscovering Christmas Sermon series on Wednesdays has been canceled. God Bless and Stay Safe, Rev. Nichola See more

Today, Revs. Jim, Nichola & Vivien led a service at the Berkeley. It was the first time going back since the shutdown. It was a beautiful service and all were grateful to be back together again. Mellie was especially pleased because they brought the Merchant Navy wreath (Norman’s wreath) with them.
Rev. Nichola had a wonderful time with her Connectors sisters.
It was a fantastic session. It was so nice to spend time with my Connectors sisters
The Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a "meaningful but small" Remembrance Day service in Halifax this morning, which you can watch live here. COVID-19 protocols... mean only invited guests will be allowed inside the cordoned-off area at Grand Parade. The live stream will start at 10:45 a.m. AT. The ceremony will include legion members, Nova Scotia's lieutenant governor, and representatives of the RCMP and Canadian Forces.
Let's support local for a good cause. Thanks for the information Ariel!
Dear Friends, Please stay safe while Teddy gives us a visit. The office will be closed tomorrow; however, please feel free to call us if you need anything. Blessings, Rev. Nichola
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to prepare in advance for the possible effects of Hurricane Teddy, expected to arrive in the Halifax reg...ion early next week. The largest threat to homes and property is flying debris. Please move umbrellas and patio furniture inside and remove anything that high winds could pick up such as garbage containers/bags, flower pots, toys, temporary signage, sports equipment, and any other objects located near the right of way. Hello everyone, I am sad to tell you that my father, Norman Bernard (Bernie) Campbell died, 2 weeks after a stroke, this afternoon. Our family has been so blessed to have him with us until the age of 101 years, and his loss is felt deeply. I thank God for the days we have just spent together. Please keep Bernie, and also the second-oldest member of our extended Campbell family, my cousin Bill Campbell, who has also died, of a stroke, yesterday.... May they Rest In Peace and rise with Christ to glory. Vivien+
