MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT FROM STOMPIN' GRAPES! To All of the Best Customers a business could ever have, my darling wife Peggy and I have come to a very difficult decision, concluding that it is time to sell Stompin' Grapes. We had a lot of very thought-provoking conversations while debating this, but realize it is the very best for us. This decision was based on many facets, just one being that I am experiencing some health issues and want that to be my primary concentration. At n...o time did our decision ever involve not enjoying the business - quite the contrary, serving you folks, getting to know you & your families and just generally having a great time with you all was a definite pro for staying in the business. The bottom line is that we just believe "it is time". Our first problem was to find suitable buyers, who left us comfortable in knowing they would continue on with "Awesome Service" - AND we firmly believe that we have found them in Rich and LouAnne Bogl. They currently own a wine making store in Belle River (Wine Works) and are very cognizant of the needs of the customers. I am extremely certain that they will take exceptional care of you all. From a personal perspective, I will miss each and every one of you - for the past nine years it has been my distinct pleasure servicing your wine needs. Our conversations and debates will be cherished for the rest of my life. Thanks to everybody who made our time at Stompin' Grapes truly a lot of fun. So, effective September 1st, I will "ride off into the sunset" (though, you can't get rid of me quite that easy, as I will be hanging around a certain amount during the transition). I implore all of you (and all your friends, relatives, neighbours, etc.) to get to know Rich & LouAnne - I am certain you will find they are (almost) as good as Peg and I (LOL)." Well there are two things of importance - the first being I want to dispel the vicious rumour (started by what can simply be described as a nasty, nasty person) that Stompin' Grapes is CLOSING UP! Let me tell you right now, that is absolutely (to borrow a phrase we've all recently heard) FAKE NEWS!! I presume this was concluded by this nasty person due to the fact Joanne has retired - well I can honestly say that is simply not true and Stompin' Grapes will continue to serve Y...OU (the second thing of importance) the GREATEST CUSTOMERS A BUSINESSMAN COULD EVER WISH TO HAVE. I've heard that this survey of CK Businesses was performed again (has anyone ever been asked who you might vote for as "Best") - well let me just say that if the question was ever posed, WHO HAS THE BEST CUSTOMERS?? YOU guys would win, hands down - thanks for all your support in the past and on into the future! As the old song says, "June is busting out all over!!" - teased us the last few days and then smacked us with some cooler weather yesterday. I think Mother Nature is confused.
