It’s true, I too shop time to time at big box stores like Costco. Today I compared the prices of similar products I have here. I had a beautiful young lady here... today , only to tell me she could have bought from Costco but preferred to shop local. It really does make me sad that I can’t provide the same product at comparable prices, but they have buying power I am not able to compete with. So , I thank you for your support, and I understand if you need to save that extra for something else. Please don’t feel obligated. This is one of the reasons I have stayed out of the fall program, but I want to really express our creativity throughout the year. This year our greens came from Schomberg and we than added to them. We deconstructed and reconstructed, just to try and give you more for your dollar. We are still open for a couple of weeks, I hope you can consider shopping local. Well we lost power last night, but everything is still in tact! The holiday greens program will begin on Saturday Nov 21 @ 9:00 am. Please make your appointment... in advance. We may be able to accommodate drive ins, but there is a possibility you will have a short wait. We have hand sanitizer and ask that you wear a mask inside the Greenhouse. We take cash, debit, MasterCard or Visa. Please NO American Express. We will also have gift certificates for sale too. The heat will not be on in the greenhouse. It’s important to let everyone know that the greens are to be kept watered until freeze up. The holiday greens program is meant for outside decor. Sometimes you don’t figure out why a certain container struggled all season until you clean it out!!! I have a pair of these urns, each with a purple fountain... grass. One did great all season, and one just languished. No wonder!!! The roots of the plants grew so much they plugged up the container unbeknownst to any of us! The roots even pinched the drip tubing, constricting water flow. So don’t be too hard on yourself, sometimes it has nothing to do with how you’re treating a plant... in some cases the plant just does its own thing. See more
