We are doing our part to keep our communities safe. My assistant continues to work from home and I am at the office. We are trying to answer your calls and e...mails as quickly as we can. We know these are unprecedented times and here to help and guide you. To those of you who are following the advice of Dr. Strang, I want to thank you. You are helping to save lives of those who are most precious to you, to those who live and work in our communities and quite frankly strangers. Thank you will never be enough for what you are doing. To our essential work force, you define all heroes do not wear capes - there are not enough words to thank you. For those of you who are not adhering to the rules and feel you are invincible - shame on you! Your behaviour is reckless and your narcissistic attitude is very disappointing. Look around you, the enemy has not been hiding and it takes lives! Sadly, we now will rely on our law enforcement officers, putting them in what should be unnecessary situations to deal with your neglect. I want to reassure all of you who are scared and filled with anxiety trying to do your best to self isolate, physical distance, abiding by the messages of Dr. Strang, that I have spoken with our law enforcement this morning and our officers are working hard to continue to protect us. In the words of the Premier - it is a reckless few! This is not a time to cheat - we cant cheat it! We need to work together - we need to work as a society in unison. I plead with you to do your part!

One of our brightest stars in the 15 years we have been here left us one week ago today. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet and chat with Luke over his lifetime could quickly tell he was a kind and gentle soul who had many stories to tell. There have been many sincere comments posted about Luke by his many friends. RIP Luke .. We all miss you

I stopped in to visit Sarah Smith in Port Mouton today. I havent seen her for 3 years and back then, she was only 104 years old. Last month she turned 107. To ...say shes amazing is an understatement... once I told her who I was she remembered I lived in Halifax and she always comments about the great parties that my mom had and she attended....the other lady in the pic that you can see part of is Beulah Smith whos much younger and is 100 years old lol See more
