One of our Sunday Setups also known as Soulful Setups. A beautiful winter provocation inspired by the outdoors and the snow. Tomorrow we will be sharing our Soulful Setups principles with the educators at Lexie's Little Bears' Child Care Inc. and are feeling incredibly honoured and grateful for the opportunity. One of the questions we will be unpacking is Why Soulful Setups? Or why take the time to set materials up in a beautiful, intentional way? Our top three reasons ar...e: 1. Because research demonstrates that beauty produces a positive emotional experience in the observer, enhancing feelings of happiness and well-being. When something is designed with intention, it can be beautiful, not only in its aesthetic but also in the positive experience it evokes. Beauty can be intricately wrapped up in feelings of safety and pride in our space, and when our space is beautiful, we are more likely to take care of it, attend to it, maintain it and ultimately celebrate it for its contribution to our community’s well-being. 2. Because it reflects our image of the child and 3. Because it reflects a sense of pride we take in our work as educators.

We are so excited to be popping up at Hansell & Halkett this Saturday for a special Valentine’s feature! With the focus being all things love we will be featuring 4 of our Love Powered Co. decks for littles, our Musings from the Moon self-love affirmation decks for mamas and self-love journal. We will also be taking pre-orders for a Be Mine Sensory Set which will include 1 jar of naturally dyed rose scented play-dough (gluten-free), 2 handmade gnomes, 5 gems, 5 wooden hearts, and rose petals. We are selling one of our beautiful play lofts from Natural Pod and would love to see it go to a good home. From our Forest Program Creator, Sandy Buyze: I feel immense gratitude for the opportunity to share these experiences with your children. It’s such a gift to observe their sense of freedom and adventurous spirits - by coming to the same place in the forest again and again, a feeling of ‘home’ comes over us all - the children and the educators. This is our forest home, we take care of it, we play in it, and we find a sense of peace within it. <3

We are loving our new yoga mats from @supportedsoul. Our Forest Box is back just in time for Christmas and will be available tomorrow from 10-4 pm at Spruce Clothing in Brentwood Bay! Igniting the spirit of Storyoga at home. ... This box of beautiful treasures exemplifies our image of the child and our true love for the great outdoors. Included in the box is: 1 pocket sized notebook and nature pencil, 1 magnifying glass, 1 ceramic mug, 1 jar of organic hot chocolate mix and vegan marshmallows, 1 locally made mom and baby wooden squirrel and acorn set, and 1 Forest School Activity Deck. We are over the moon excited to share our most recent creative project with you! Image Of The Child These beautiful framed art pieces reflect our image of the child wholeheartedly. We view children as competent, capable human beings whose ideas matter and whose work is celebrated. Framing each art piece is one way we can honour and celebrate their creative work. These pieces took time, focus, and created an opportunity for one-on-one connections to be made. When we allow children the opportunity to use thoughtful materials and scaffold their learning ...along the way, we open up the doors for beautiful exchanges and work to take place. These art pieces also remind us of The Hundred Languages of Children as no two are the same. We love and celebrate the uniqueness of each and hope all of our families will adore them as much as we do.
