Our new cross is up! In the summer, I asked local artist Sarah Cowley to make us a cross for the outside of the church to show that we are an inclusive, welcoming, and affirming church. She made this beautiful cross to mount on the cross already outside of the church. You can see not only the colours that represent our diversity, but the mirror behind the cross allows you to see the reflection (maybe even your reflection) in the cross. I blessed the cross in the fall, and... was hoping for a big reveal on Easter morning. Unfortunately, we will not be worshipping for our Easter celebration. We will celebrate this important sign of our faith when we can gather again. Thank you to Bryan and Hunter for their hard work in disassembling and then reassembling our church crosses. At night, they will be lit up as a visible sign to our community.
This is just a reminder that church services are suspended for the time being to respect the social/physical distancing we are doing. But ministry still goes on. Please go to our website for more information.
Please read the following pastoral letter from our Bishop. As a result, our Sunday and Wednesday services are suspended, as well as Bible Study on Mondays. https://www.toronto.anglican.ca//bishop-announces-cessati/

So here it is! Thanks to local artist Sarah Cowley for making our new cross! Its a modified Canterbury cross with stained glass. It represents our acceptance of all people into the house of God. Stay tuned for the grand unveiling when we attach it to the cross on the outside of the church!
Today was the day we finally got to share the wonderful art of Sarah Cowley with the congregation. Its a Canterbury cross which will be put in front of the cross at the front of the church. It represents the welcoming of all people to our church. Thank you so much Sarah for sharing your talent with us! And so good to find a unique way to be an affirming church in our community and Diocese!
Just a taste of our special dedication tomorrow morning. Come out if you want to see the completed artwork!

A lot of churches that live in places where there are a lot of cottages, and therefore summer residents, go to one service on the Sundays in July and August. Not St. Pauls!!! We are open all summer long, with our regular service times, 8:30 and 10:30am. (We also, of course, have our Spanish service on Mondays at 7:15ish). And you can come casual! Leave the suit and tie at home and wear your shorts and sandals. No one cares as long as you are comfortable! Everyone is welcome to come and join us. And we actually mean everyone!
