Diwali was celebrated on Saturday by the Hindu, Jian and Sikh communities in Saskatoon and around the world. A new year’s celebration of light in the midst of darkness, the festival lasts five days, reminding its observers that good triumphs over evil. Wishing a Happy Diwali to the staff, patients, and family and community members who are celebrating in different ways in this pandemic year.

Congratulations to Jan and Spencer Early for receiving a National Philanthropy Day Award in the category of Honoured Supporter. The Earlys have been longstanding supporters of our Foundation and have exemplified their wish for a generous community. Each year, they provide flowers from Early's Farm and Garden Centre to our donors at our annual Donor Appreciation Luncheon. This year, when the pandemic meant we couldn’t gather, they creatively continued their support by providin...g a coupon for flower seeds in a thank you to our committed donors. In the spirit of continuing their creative support for St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Jan and Spencer Early graciously provided a matching gift donation to encourage our community to support the purchase of therapeutic hospital beds for the Hospice at Glengarda. Thank you Jan and Spencer for working to inspire our community to give! See more
