We may not be able to gather in person all together quite yet, but we can still pray together! Some of the wonderful faces of our parish, praying the Lord's Prayer. https://youtu.be/ghUJw8usQW0
The consecration of our next bishop, Rev. Sandra Fyfe, is being live-streamed! Tune in now for this historic moment!
Good morning, Here's the link to our recorded service for this Sunday: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3JJesTJXMM This will be our last recorded service for th...e time being, as we're moving toward in-person services (which will be live-streamed, so fear not!) as of November 1st, and Rev. Cate is on vacation the two Sundays prior to that. You'll continue to receive instructions on how to virtually join worship, however, it just may look a little different. We continue to have our 10:30 AM drive-in service until the end of the month, and we hope to see you out there! Happy Thanksgiving!
Today was a little challenging with Rev. Cate trying to be three people at once, but in Covid times we must learn to adapt! :) Here is the link from our worship... this morning (it officially starts about 2 minutes in): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_aUt23ryWo&feature=youtu.be Hope everyone is staying safe! May we continue to bloom!
Good morning, Here's the link to worship this morning: https://youtu.be/cZoEgUe_7K4 Our 10:30 AM drive-in service will take place as usual. It may be a little damp, but as they say in theatre, the show must go on! We hope to see you out there, so we can worship together!
St. Peter’s now has its very own Little Free Library, made by one of our parishioners! Stop by anytime to pick up a new book or drop off a favourite.
Here's the link to our worship service for this morning: https://youtu.be/AKKVmpDS5uM We continue to have our 10:30 AM drive-in service. It might be a little chilly this morning, so bring gloves or a blanket or whatever you need to keep you comfortable as we worship together!
Good morning, Here's the service link for today's online worship service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbakgjS5SRs . We celebrate the second Sunday in the Se...ason of Creation. At our 10:30 AM drive-in service, we'll be having a baptism today! Please find the leaflet for that in the previous post, and you can arrive in your car or bring a chair to sit outside. Hope to see you there!
Prayers for our students (and teachers and staff!) as they return to school. May you be safe and well in this transition.

Good morning, Here's the link for today's service: https://youtu.be/GZovPCW-ETM . Reminder of our weekly drive-in service at 10:30 AM. You're also welcome to br...ing a chair, as long as you remain physically distanced from others (and preferably wear a mask). We hope to see you there, and that you have a blessed week!
"Scripture is shot through with the power and wisdom of waiting. If we never allow ourselves to spend time waiting, if we always insist on getting what we want ...instantly, we are doomed to a life of superficiality. When we have to wait, however frustrating and uncomfortable, we are opening ourselves up to God, and to Gods work within us. God likes us to wait." (Brother Geoffrey Tristram, Society of Saint John the Evangelist) See more
Here is the link to our worship service this morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIfMS3zCoVY&feature=youtu.be We hope to see you out for our 10:30 AM drive-in service as well.

Here's the link for this week's service: https://youtu.be/2D96jmo1Xzo We'll have our usual Drive-In service at 10:30 AM. All are welcome. If you live close to t...he church, you can try tuning in to 88.3 FM, and you may be able to get it. Feel free to bring a chair, as long as you remain socially distanced, and (preferably) wear a mask. This is an option especially offered to those who may not otherwise have safe access to a vehicle. Have a lovely week!
Good morning, Here's the link to our service this week: https://youtu.be/otXV1qK4LV0 Reminder that for our drive-in service (10:30 AM), people can bring their o...wn chair (and preferably a mask), and sit (physically distanced from others) in the chair for the service. This is mainly meant to be used for those who don't have access to a vehicle, Prayer requests can now be submitted to be included in both the recorded and drive-in services. These can be submitted by email, phone, or text to Rev. Cate (not using the St. Peter's email address, as she doesn't have access to it, but using [email protected]). If people can get those requests in by Wednesday evenings, they will be included in the recorded service as well as the drive-in service. The link for Drop-In Coffee Time is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82718805429? , with the same password as always. This Sunday will also be our final Coffee Time for the summer. Peace, Cate
Although we won't be gathering in the church building this summer (letter on that coming out from Parish Council later this week), we will continue meeting virt...ually and having our drive-in service. Starting this coming Sunday, we will be including two new additions to these services: 1) People can bring their own chair (and preferably a mask), and sit (physically distanced from others) in the chair for the service. Parking attendants can help you find a safe place to park your chair too! 2) Prayer requests can now be submitted to be included in both the recorded and drive-in services. These can be submitted by email or phone/text to Rev. Cate. If you would like your prayer request included in the recorded service, please get them in by Wednesday evenings. For the privacy of all involved, we will only use first names in our prayers, unless you are requesting a prayer for yourself. This Sunday will also be our final Drop-In Coffee Time for the summer. We look forward to continuing these new ways of worshipping with you!
Here's the link to today's service: https://youtu.be/yE3A482Uk30
Here's the link for our Morning Prayer service this week: https://youtu.be/rUxlhuRJRGc . We have a guest preacher, Debbie Fice, who is a postulant, studying for ministry at the Atlantic School of Theology. Debbie devised our order of service for today, is preaching, and will be leading our Drive-in service this week. Thanks, Debbie, great to have you with us!
If anyone is looking for grief support groups, this on-line option might be of benefit:

Here's a short video that explains systemic racism briefly and clearly. It's not just an American problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch
Happy Pentecost! Here's the link to our service this morning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa7PirY0asw&feature=youtu.be We'll still be out for our drive-in s...ervice (even in the fog!) at St. Peter's at 10:30 AM. Hope to see you there! And don't forget, if you'd like some fellowship time, we have our drop-in Zoom Coffee Time (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87196031385?). You can come for a few minutes, or stay for the whole thing, it's up to you! If you need access to the password, just ask!
Reminder that we're asking for people to submit art for Pentecost this Sunday! This is the "birthday of the church", so we're trying to celebrate the best way w...e can, from afar. You can create your own art, or use colouring pages (such as http://www.supercoloring.com/coloring-pages/tags/pentecost or https://coloring2print.com/pentecost-coloring-pages/). This is not just for kids, but for people of all ages! The more, the merrier! Colouring has proven to be very therapeutic, and we could all use some comforting practices now. You can even do them anonymously if you'd like. Please take photos and email them to Rev. Cate, or drop them off at the rectory, by Friday night, so she can include them in the service for this week. Let's celebrate this important festival in the church together! See more
Here is the recorded service for this week: https://youtu.be/ZSY-88rqfaQ The link for Zoom Coffee Time at 11:30 AM is: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89196256301? (t...he password is the same as always, please ask if youre not sure) We will be having our drive-in service again at 10:30 AM. Please double-check the social distancing rules (see top of page) put into place, and bring a leaflet with you if youre able. If you live within about 0.5 km of the church, you may be able to tune in from home. The radio station is 88.3 FM. Otherwise, we hope to see you out there! Finally, were going to have a little fun for Pentecost! Some people call Pentecost the birthday of the church, so Rev. Cate thought we could celebrate (distantly) by making some art or cards! You can colour (some sample pages can be found here: http://www.supercoloring.com/coloring-pages/tags/pentecost), or find others you like, or create something of your own! If you take a photo of them and send it to Rev. Cate, or drop your art off at the rectory, by Friday evening, shell include them in next weeks celebration!
We'll be keeping going with our 10:30 AM Drive-In Services on Sundays. The service for this week is attached here, and the rules are the same as they have been ...the past few weeks for social distancing, as follows: 1. You must arrive in a car, alone or accompanied by members of your household (or your two-household bubble family!) only. 2. Follow the person guiding you to park, and park only where they tell you. Park so that your car is facing the church building. Like a drive-in movie, you will stay inside your car throughout. 3. It will be first come, first served for parking. This means that if the parking people tell you there isn't room, unfortunately you won't be able to stay. There's only so much room, and we're doing this for everyone's safety. Please try again (earlier) next week! 4. Only open the window on the driver's side of the car. This way germs will not travel between cars. 5. If you are able, please print and bring the attached service leaflet, or bring a device you can read it from. If neither of these are options, we will have some leaflets available, but bringing your own and staying in your car will minimize contact as much as possible. Please try to arrive before 10:30 AM, so that our service can start on time with minimal disruptions. We are not able to open the washroom facilities to folks at this point, so please plan accordingly! We will continue posting a recorded service at 9 AM as well, for those who do not wish to leave their homes or do not have a car. This is also a perfectly viable option. Hope to see you out there!
Good morning, all! Here's our link to our worship service this morning: https://youtu.be/2YVNqAxICywReminder that at 10:30 AM we will have our drive-in service (the same service), worshipping on the steps of our church and from the safety of your vehicle. And we have virtual Coffee Time on Zoom at 11:30 AM, at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86476290137? (with the same password as always. Please ask if you're unsure)....Happy long-weekend!
Stay tuned for more information, but we're planning to have a drive-in service this Sunday at 10:30 AM! We'll also continue posting online services, but want to give the option to safely gather if possible! Details to follow.
Good morning everyone! Here's the link for this morning's service: https://youtu.be/MgPySMAo6i8 . We have a guest preacher today, Rev. Michael Tutton (who was going to cover for Rev. Cate while she was on vacation). He graciously offered to still share his message with us today, despite the changes in plans.
May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
Starting tomorrow, if anyone has been affected by the mass shooting, Nova Scotia Health Authority is providing free sessions with a psychologist (see article for more information). http://www.nshealth.ca//nsha-government-psychologists-coll
Here's the link for our service today: https://youtu.be/P75J7iyh5jQ If you would like to join in our drop-in coffee time, the link for that is here: https://zoo...m.us/j/94379793521? Please note that you need to download the app ahead of time to make it work. Overall Zoom is relatively safe (it's about as safe as having an account on Facebook), but we've put some extra measures in place to protect people, such as having a password on our meetings. So if you would like to join (and we'd love for you to do so!), please message Rev. Cate or Mike Detchkoff for the password. We do it this way to keep it as safe/secure as possible.

Wise and compassionate words from our Regional Dean Matthew Sponagle
I request your prayers this evening and in the coming days for those whose lives have been devastated by the mass shooting in Nova Scotia. There is much we do n...ot know about what has happened. The RCMP has confirmed that in excess of 10 people have been killed at multiple sites. An RCMP officer has been killed and one wounded. If possible this situation is worse because communities cannot gather to support one another in the time of pandemic isolation. Please pray especially for families and first responders. Almighty and everlasting God, the comfort of those who are shaken and the strength of those who suffer, hear the prayers of your people who are in any trouble. Grant to those in distress: mercy, relief, and support, through Jesus Christ our Lord. +Ron
Tonight, you are invited to join your voice in prayer as we struggle with the horrific event that happened in our province. At the time of this prayer service,... at least 13 victims of a shooting have died. Our service is a service of Night Prayers from the Anglican Church of Canada. Whatever your faith tradition, or if you are not a person of faith, you are welcome to participate in this service. Allow your innermost thoughts of love, peace and concern to be given language and expressed in your own personal growth and development. We offer our sincerest condolences to all who grieve the loss of a loved one in this tragedy. Know that our entire country grieves with you this night. You can find the service on page 49 on this web-site: https://www.anglican.ca/wp-content/uploads/Eucharist.pdf
Here's the link for today's service: https://youtu.be/91Y2FEyCjQ0 . It's Holy Humour Sunday, so you're encouraged to wear something fun as you worship! You are ...more than welcome to join us for drop-in Coffee Time today from 11:30-12. The Zoom link is: https://zoom.us/j/94338019932 Meeting ID: 943 3801 9932 To make it as safe as possible, you still need a password. It's the same as last week, but please message Rev. Cate or Mike Detchkoff if you need that password before Coffee Time begins!
