People of any age, gender, race, size, or background can have an eating disorder or disordered eating. Part of the reason an eating disorder may go undiagnosed ...is because people may feel they don't fit what an eating disorder "looks like"; medical professionals may not be aware of how eating disorders can present differently.* CMHA Nova Scotia Division has a wide range of programs that can help with wellness, anxiety, mindfulness, parenting, self esteem, and depression. Visit our Wellness Hub -- https://caringtogether-cmhans.ca to see if there is a program that suits you. #whathappenedwhilewewaited #eatingdisorderawarenessweek

Sign up today to help a self-isolated student in Antigonish. COVID-19 has changed the way in which we interact within our communities and StFX has designed a vo...lunteer program to show StFX students how much the Antigonish community, both on- and off-campus, are here to support them, and also puts the health and safety of all Antigonish residents first. We are looking for Antigonish community members who are willing to volunteer to provide support to students living off-campus while isolating for 14 days within our community. We have a number of volunteer opportunities available, including picking up groceries, calling check-ins, Here2Help information tables, and even contributing baked goods or care packages for those interested. We are also looking for volunteers who are willing to donate their time by offering online classes, or tutorials (i.e. guitar lessons, knitting, paint lessons), things that would help keep students busy during their isolation period.
