Recently there was a post on @girlswithirrelevantcaptions that reposted someone’s postpartum struggle. The post revealed a lady who was speaking her truth, it was vulnerable and REAL LIFE. Open about issues that are often covered up on social platforms. So, absolutely ‘relevant’. . Not all postpartum moments will be like this one here. This photo is absolutely part of my truth but it is not the full truth. Women speaking up, or anyone speaking up about mental health iss...ues for that matter, should NEVER be insulted. . Here I am growing a baby! 6 months pregnant. . I do wish someone ‘got me’ back then. I wish someone came in and said ‘Ok Strand, you only know what you know, I’m here to guide you’. Because I didn’t have the foresight to know that the best case scenario is building your team from as early on as you can. . It’s never too late to source support for your postpartum recovery. So these are the messages that make me go !! . ‘I was thinking about you a lot this weekend so thought I would send you a quick note! I'm now able to do a ton of drops I never thought I would be able to do, and even did the ones in the Bike Park that you have on the full enduro episode. Honestly - it's all from having that lesson with you! You gave me the confidence to go for it and the skills to make sure I can actually do it :) So thank you!!
