Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. What one thing could you do today to ripple out the joy that comes from spreading kindness? I remember watching this amazing video years ago, The Butterfly Effect; How Your Life Matters. He talks about how when a butterfly flaps its wings on one side of the world, it can be felt on the other side of the world. Scientists proved that this is true of any matter. Therefore, whatever positivity you create can ripple around the world. Everything you do matters. How will you flap your wings today? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndPZVGwaRww

When you think about influence, what is the first thought that comes to your mind? It’s this elusive and powerful thing that when we ask people about, there are no two people that answer the question the same way. And yet, it’s everythingit is the one skill that is so imperative to your success in life, in business, in relationships, with family. When you look up the definition of influence it is the capacity or power to be a compelling force on the actions, character, ...development, opinions or behaviours of others. Synonyms of influence are: affect, impact, determine, persuade, guide, control, shape, govern, decide, change, alter, transform, impress, incite, instigate, arouse, induce. It is about impelling a person to some action! How does influence play a role in your business, whether it be finding new customers or connecting in a more meaningful way with existing ones? There is some trepidation towards this word and yet, it is the cornerstone of all decisions. It is how people take action, make decisions, follow others insights. The past belief of sales was that it was all about relationships. Relationships are extremely important and yet, if you have a great relationship and are not bringing exceptional value to the other person/business, then it’s just making another connection. Where the real difference lies is in your ability to solve a problem for someone else. When you hear your customer say wow, I hadn’t thought of that before then you know that you are bringing valuable insights, ideas and innovations to your customers. This is influence. Influence is the I in our PIVOT frameworkI invite you to come and share in our PIVOT community, where we share more insights and ideas around ways to pivot + pop in your business and life.

A few years ago, one of my customers had a rough beginning to the year and so she kept saying that she was going to put off the celebration of New Years until this day, the Chinese New Year! Today, let’s all celebrate and increase the vibe for this day. Perhaps you didn’t have a great start to 2021 and so now you could start your blank canvas today. My parents lived in China for 5 years and the connection to the Chinese culture still runs strong for them as they created some lifelong friendships through those years. One thing that was really interesting was to learn of the rituals of a unique culture. What rituals do you incorporate into your own life to allow your life to unfold the way you desire? What rituals could you incorporate that would allow you to celebrate New Years all the time?

It's #makeafriendday! What comes to your mind when you think of this day? Is your first thought how much you miss your friends? That’s mine! How can you celebrate your friends today? What about your customers, who become friends? How could you celebrate them today? A huge shoutout to my amazing friends, whether in business, the 50 girls’ group, beautiful friends that have entered along the journey of life, I don't even have words. This is my pause to say you are so treasured! xo

We hear this word all the time. It sits on many value statements on corporate walls. What is it really though? What is your definition of Integrity? Early in my sales career, I chose this definition for myself. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is watching. This came from a conversation that I had with the President at the time. He had never heard it put that way and it really anchored this belief inside of me. Especially having a lifelong sales career, where there is so much "negative belief systems" around selling with integrity. Choose integrity for you and then let it ripple out. It seems like something that maybe doesn't need talked about, it needs lived! #thursdaythoughts #thoughtfulthursday #thoughts #insights #thinkingthursday #pivot #passion #chooseintegrity #vulnerability
