The clinic needs helpers in processing fundraising letters between November 1st and November 6th. Activities include stuffing all the pieces into windows envelops, ensuring address shows properly in the window and putting stamps on the envelopes. There will be about 1000 letters to be processed. The clinic gave away a dental case for every student in Strathcona Elementary School and Seymour Elementary School to promote dental hygiene. The free dental case contains basic dental kit, bookmark and a small goodie. The idea is to provide the children with idea and subject of discussion among peers, teachers and families. Only some of the content were donated. In Brushing Club we promote proper dental hygiene practice to children and caretakers. We do that by going to the Strathcona Community Centre's Breakfast Club every month with the help of students from VCC Nursing Program. BC Provincial Healthy Kids Program allowances for dental service has been increased to $2000 every 2 years. Patient's allowance will be topped up back to $2000 on January 1st, 2019.

Calling for volunteers! Brushing club activities for kids in summer camp at Strathcona Community Center. If you are interested in a brief dental awareness presentation for kids and have time on a Monday morning within the next two week, please contact our OutReach Coordinator. Strathcona Community Dental Clinic gives away toothbrush to every kid in the summer camp and teach the kids about brushing and dental hygiene.
