With the temperature warming up this weekend, it's a great time to experience Strathcona County! One of the newest retail stores in Strathcona County opened last week and is looking forward to serving their future customers. Plato's Closet - Sherwood Park, AB is a consignment store aimed at a younger demographic but is sure to have something for everyone. Now open for business at 201 Kaska Road, stop by this weekend to support a home-grown business and shop local. Sherwood Pa...rk has many terrific walking paths across the entire municipality, and one of them includes the Woodbridge Farms Covered Bridge. This eye-catching bridge can be found in Woodbridge Lake Park and is part of the natural pathway which makes its way around the park. Add this easy walk to your list of things to do this weekend! https://www.strathcona.ca/recreation-ev/parks-and-trails// Sawaddee Thai Cuisine is a locally owned restaurant that set up shop in 2015 in Strathcona County. When you eat at Sawaddee, you feel as if you’ve actually gone to Thailand, thanks to the authentic recipes brought directly from Bangkok. Experience a taste of Thailand right here in Sherwood Park this weekend. A reminder to be safe: wear a mask and stop the spread of COVID-19. #YOUCAN #strathco #shpk #shoplocal #shopthepark Strathcona County Travel Alberta

This weekend is a great one to spend some time at Emerald Hills Shopping Centre. This shopping center has everything you could need, and you can even get a fire Instagram picture with the recent installment of an #instagrammablewall! Make sure to stop by and check out the new murals on the walking path behind Urban Barn and snap a picture with the works of Jason Blower Illustration, Rust Magic International, and Alixandra Jade Art & Design Co. Do it for the 'gram! Have yo...u eaten at That Bar B Q Place yet? This southern style smokehouse is found in Sherwood Park close to Millennium Place, and as a bonus is family friendly and celiac friendly. Did you know Health Canada recommends a daily vitamin D supplement if you’re over 50? Keep those bones strong and get other health supplements when you stop by Vitality Health Sherwood Park this weekend. Welcome to Fall! This is the perfect time of year to curl up with a nice hot drink, which you could get from either Remedy Cafe Sherwood Park or Common Ground Community Cafe, both found at Center in the Park. If you would prefer to enjoy the nice weather while it lasts, get that drink to go and take a stroll down the Prairie Walk which is a nice stroll designed and landscaped to reflect Strathcona County's history, culture, and natural environment. https://www.strathcona.ca...//centre-in-the-park/prairie-walk/ A great activity to do on Saturday would be to check out Gallery@501. Their latest exhibit, Mother Tongue/ Ehts’o Ket’a by Bruno Canadien is on until October 25. This Indigenous, Alberta born artist has had his work shown in multiple galleries and both private and public collections. As a reminder, face masks are required while in the gallery. https://www.strathcona.ca//arts-/art-gallery-501/exhibits/ After a day spent at Center in the Park, the last thing to do is stop by Vicky's Bistro|WineBar. After 30 years of experience and unforgettable cuisine, this locally owned boutique restaurant and wine bar has fused Mediterranean and Western cuisine to be enjoyed in a modern dining experience.
