COMMUNITY SAFETY ALERT MAN CHARGED IN SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION SCPS would like to make the public aware of an arrest in a Sexual Assault Investigation.... Soroush FOROUGHI, a 34 year old male from London, has been charged with a sexual offence involving a 14 year old youth. Police are concerned there may be other victims. THE STRATHROY-CARADOC POLICE SERVICE ARREST TWO YOUTHS AND ONE ADULT FOR ARSON On May 12th, 2022 at approximately 12:30 am, the Strathroy-Caradoc Police respond...ed to a call of several youth starting a hydro pole on fire on Oak Avenue in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. A second call to dispatch indicated another active fire in the garden of a home, also on Oak Avenue. Officers attended the area and found another fire on the playground equipment and fire damage at two other locations on the property of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic School located at 286 McKellar Street. At that time, police located a 15 year old female near the school property who was placed under arrest. Other officers responding located and arrested a 19 year old female running from the scene on Oak Avenue. A third 14 year old male was also later identified and arrested by police. As a result of this investigation, all three individuals have been charged with four count of Arson- Damage to Property. The burning of yard waste is prohibited under Strathroy-Caradoc By-law No. 17-12. Small, recreational fires are permitted: Between 4pm and midnight Within... a 2ft x 2ft fire pit Using clean, dry, seasoned wood At least 10 feet away from adjacent properties and structures Open air burns are permitted in rural areas of the Municipality only. No permit is required, but prior authorization is required by the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department dispatch centre. Information can be obtained and permission granted by calling 519-245-1300 and speaking with Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Dispatch.

Although the law doesn't say you must pull over, it is very appreciated and respectful to pull over when it's safe to do so......they could be responding to an emergency that hits close to home. Around 23:30 hours on September 11, 2020, Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department was toned out for a structure fire at #3 on Parkview Drive in Strathroy. Engine 11 a...rrived with heavy fire from the attached garage of a small single-family single-story residence and pulled lines. Mount Brydges station responded on the second alarm as Strathroy's Truck 17 set up it for use of its master stream. The fire spread through the attic, breached the roof, and spread to the Bravo side exposure at #1 Parkview Drive. Crews transitioned to an interior attack and search with negative results. Melbourne Station was requested to round out the 3rd Alarm. With flareups on and off, firefighters used handlines and the ladder to knock them down well into the night. Photos: Buff 4. See more

Shooting in Downtown Strathroy Update #2 (2020-08-12) Alexandre Allie has been arrested and is in custody. On Wednesday August 12, 2020 at approximately 5:55...pm, Allie was in a vehicle that attempted to cross the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie, On into Buffalo, NY. CBSA Officers conducted an investigation and arrested Allie on the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service warrant. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a .22cal revolver and a quantity of drugs. A female with Allie was also taken into custody. Allie will be held by Niagara Regional Police Service pending a bail hearing on Thursday August 13, 2020. Allie will then be transferred to the custody of investigators from the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service. Allie will then be taken for a bail hearing in London, ON on Friday August 14, 2020. Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com Update #1 Strathroy-Caradoc, ON (2020-08-11) As a result of the investigation, Alexandre Andre ALLIE, 25, of Strathroy-Caradoc is wanted for the following Criminal Code of Canada offences: Discharge firearm with intent (x2) Assault with a weapon (x2) Carrying a concealed weapon Careless Use of a firearm Unauthorized possession of a firearm Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm Firearm use while committing offence Discharge firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner (x2) Pointing a firearm (x2) Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose Failure to comply with release order Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order Aggravated Assault (x2) The investigation is ongoing, however investigators have had little cooperation from the two male victims. The second victim has since been released from hospital. The firearm has not been located and investigators have not been able to locate Allie. If Allie is observed, do not approach and call 9-1-1. Town Council passed the attached bylaw on Monday night at Council. Town employees have been tasked with enforcement at the local level, but they would much rath...er educate than fine. They're asking that we all do our part to ensure our community is well aware of the bylaw, specifically section 4, stating: The Operator shall conspicuously post at all entrances to the Establishment clearly visible signage containing the following text: ALL PERSONS ENTERING OR REMAINING IN THESE PREMISES SHALL WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING WHICH COVERS THE NOSE, MOUTH AND CHIN AS REQUIRED UNDER MUNICIPALITY OF STRATHROY-CARADOC BY-LAW 41-20 Municipal staff will be visiting local businesses over the next week in efforts to ensure the notice is posted and to answer any questions owner/operators may have. The intersection of Metcalfe Street and Caradoc Street is now closed as work on the Caradoc Street Reconstruction Project moves into the area. The closure is expected to last until approximately July 24. All businesses remain open and detour routes are in effect.
