What a ride 2020 has been for all of us here at Streamliners. We started 2020 with grand dreams of culinary adventures, music events, and community lead dreams. Little did we all know how quickly we would have to pivot. This year was marked by a series of pivots and creative ways to continue in our culinary efforts, bring music & art back into our hearts, and keep the fires of community spirit going. None of these would have been possible without the overwhelming supp...ort we have received from you. None of it would have been possible without the care and commitment of our baristas. We will be open until 2 pm Christmas Eve. We will be closed to enjoy the holidays - Christmas Day, Boxing Day and December 27th. We will reopen Monday December 28th - details to follow!

We have put together pastry boxes of everyone’s favourite Streamliners treats for you to take home and enjoy over the Holidays! We have included our Buttertart, Apple Tart, Cinnamon Buns, and cookies! All freshly baked and ready for you to enjoy! We also have packs of cookies put together that you can take home and bake yourselves!

Have you had a chance to try all of our holiday drink offerings yet? Join us this week for a cup of cheer!! S’mores Hot Chocolate - our classic hot chocolate, made with chocolate shavings from @habitualchocolate and steamed milk and topped with chocolate, graham crackers and housemade marshmallows. Make it a mocha and add a shot of espresso! The Polar Express - a cappuccino made with egg nog from @harmonyorganicdairy!... Ginger Tea Latte - custom tea blend of ginger and lemongrass from @wildflowersfarm with 1 shot of espresso and honey to sweeten Mistletoe Mocha - @laschicasdelcafe flavoured coffee with peppermint and chocolate. Available by the cup or we can make it into a latte! Frosty Nights - @laschicasdelcafe flavoured coffee with toffee, cinnamon and hazelnut. Available by the cup or we can make it into a latte! Christmas Blend - we are still serving @laschicasdelcafe Christmas Blend on the French Press and Chemex! All drinks (except the Polar Express) can be made dairy free, your choice of almond, coconut or oat milk. We open Monday - Wednesday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Christmas Eve 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

We have an exciting week of pop-ups planned with wonderful vendors taking over our back room. This Thursday December 17th from 1-4 p.m. @elgin_harvest will be doing a Pizza Pop-Up. Come and stock up on frozen pizzas your last chance before Christmas. Saturday December 19th we will have 3 wonderful vendors.... @adevriescreative a local graphic designer Amanda DeVries put together a collage of what St. Thomas means to her and brought the idea to life on these linen tea towels. London silkscreeners @rezonanceprinting made it all into a reality. This is the last printing of these towels so get yours Saturday! @stthomaselginlip will also be set up selling their amazing local cookbooks @railcityoriginals will be joining them in the back room from 11-3 selling her wonderful customization and creations. And finally Wednesday December 23rd we will be joined by @harrisflowerfarm it’s a great chance to get some beautiful arrangements before Christmas! Come out and support some wonderful local businesses!

@maria_and_coffee has put together a raffle basket full of wonderful local items to raise money for hurricane relief for the communities in Nicaragua that have been effected by Hurricane Iota. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Los Frutos Del Café. The money raised will be used in the planting of food crops like rice and beans in communities where families have lost their harvests with Hurricane Iota.
