100 Years of the Chevrolet Bowtie There are many theories of when the bowtie logo was adopted for the Chevrolet brand. There are some at GM who think they have found the true origin and that the 100-year anniversary should be celebrated this year in just a few months. According to certain GM historians, the first officially recorded date the bowtie logo was used was Oct. 2, 1913, in a Chevrolet story from The Washington Post. The Chevrolet company was founded almost two full ...years before that, but the first use of the iconic logo wasn't until a year and several months after that. RECALL ALERT: 2013 RAM 1500 PICKUP Chrysler is voluntarily recalling an estimated 712,084 vehicles in four separate actions due to problems with various safety features in several Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram products, the automaker announced this week. Among them are about 45,900 model-year 2013 Ram 1500 pickup trucks equipped with four-wheel drive are being recalled due to a problem with electronic stability control system software that causes the warning lamp to activate,... indicating that the safety feature is disabled. The condition may occur when the transfer case position is changed immediately before the ignition is turned off; software was modified to prevent ESC deactivation under such circumstances. Chrysler said it is unaware of any related injuries or accidents. Chrysler said it will notify owners affected by each of the recalls, and dealers will correct the problems for free.
