Wicked fun trip to the Marimichi river again in search of the notorious striped bass. We boated well over 200 the first day but day 2 was a grind due to a massive temperature drop, only got about 70. I am HOOKED! We adventured to the infamous Marimichi river and she did not let us down. Hundreds of striped bass each day. The bite was so furious my forearms were screaming. Streamside Predator Elite 7'3 heavy casting rod paired with a Daiwa 7.3:1 reel and 40lb braid got a marathon of a workout hucking 3/4 ounce River Tide Jigs jig head and literally any color of a 4 to 5" swimbait. Ladies and gentlemen in these dark days we wish to shed some light. Please take a journey with team The Veteran Farmer as they compete in the first ever B1 Fishing Events Open in Gananoque ON. The gin clear Saint Lawrence river was quite a challenge for us but we trusted in our Streamside gear, preserved through mechanical issues and still managed to bring in a fair bag of Smallmouth at the end of day 1.
