STRIPED BASS RECREATIONAL FISHERY. This just in from Frédéric Butruille Regional Senior Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Officer, Fisheries and Oceans, Mo...ncton Good afternoon, At the moment I write this message, as you know the DFO has not yet announced the details of management measures for the Striped bass recreational fishery in the Gulf Region. While we regret this delay, we want to let you know that the regulations in place in 2018 for this fishery will remain in effect until the notice to anglers for 2019 is posted online (at this page: http://www.inter.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/Gulf//Recreational-Fisheries). That means that Striped bass recreational fisheries will open on April 15 (in tidal waters) as per usual, under all the same rules as last year. I will send you another message with relevant links as soon as the decisions for 2019 are confirmed and posted online.
