Those beautiful flat white and grey pumpkins that adorn your front porches. Give then a second life after they have finished decorating your home. If they are still hard they are perfect to purée like our pie pumpkins. Cut in half , scoop out seeds, place halves face down with a little water in the bottom of a oven proof pan. Bake for 40-60 minutes at 350F until soft. Purée and put by the cup or two in freezer ziplocs . Now you can feed your family pumpkin bread, muffins, or add to soup, chili and stews all winter long.

If you want to get more veggies in your family why not try our sweetie pie baby pumpkins. Cut off the tops, scoop out the seeds , place butter and brown sugar in middle. Cook for 20-30 minutes at 350F until soft. Beautiful.
