Strong Counselling 30.12.2020

The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself. C. JoyBell C A friend posted this quote today and it pretty much sums up a strong belief of mine. So if you're ready for growth and all it encompasses why not give me a call and we can work together to help make that happen!

Many of the reasons I'm staying online full time for now are included in this article. Some major ones that stand out for me: - if I get sick I have to report anyone I've had contact with, which would mean needing to break confidentiality if I saw you in my office. - we could not maintain adequate social distance and we would be in each other's presence for an extended period of time indoors - we would need to wear PPE and that does not translate well to safe psychotherapy.... *I'm so blessed to have clients who totally understand these reasonings and are asking for online sessions without me even having to suggest them. Your support is always appreciated! https://www.forbes.com//want-to-see-your-therapist-in-pe/

Hey everyone, although the BC government has stated that Phase 2 will begin after the long weekend which includes in-person counselling, I wanted to let you know I will be staying online for an extra couple of weeks to ensure a safe return for everyone. Also after that I will be asking those clients who work in hospitals or with vulnerable populations to continue with online sessions for a while longer. At this point the most important thing to me is to keep everyone safe and healthy. I look forward to our continued work together. Thank you for your support and understanding throughout this entire pandemic.

I hope everyone is trying hard to hang out in the acceptance stage. However, this isn't going to go in a cyclical fashion of one stage after another, instead it will likely bounce back and forth between all stages. Have some compassion for yourselves, stay safe, and try hard to accept the recommendations of the medical community right now. Stay home, stay away from those you don't live with, wash your hands frequently.

I've been talking alot about grief and loss these past few weeks. It is okay to be sad about the things that would have been and now aren't.
