When we got the call for a septic tank backing up, causing sewage to enter the house, what we found was that the ground above the lids had froze. We went back to get the appropriate equipment and began to dig the lids up. We found that the tank was over full and causing a back up, So we pumped the tank, cleared the line then installed risers to insure that next time the lids are much easier to remove and allowing the customer to view the condition of their tank more regularly.
