My dad was very fortunate to live in your building. I think St. Peter and Paul’s is the best rental building I’ve ever seen. Very clean and well managed. You are caring people. All the best to you guys. Keep up the great work! Michael

Dennis Levesque Chief Administrative Officer November 30, 2020 Greetings As the holidays approach many of you may want to express your love towards your loved one or express your appreciation to the staff by providing a holiday gift. Keeping everyone's health and safety in mind, I have placed some restrictions on items entering the building.... The number of new infections in Toronto this past weekend went from 566 on Saturday to 463 on Sunday. These high numbers are not reducing to the 80 new cases per day public health envisioned in July. The lock-down we are experiencing may be affecting you financially. The following restrictions on items entering the building are in place to ease the financial burden and, more importantly, to reduce your risk to the virus by going shopping: You can drop off (Mon-Fri, 9-5): Clothing, which will be quarantined for 72 hours, and Incontinence products, which must be sanitized by the staff You must avoid dropping off: Food of any kind, and plants Regarding gifts for the staff, I insist that all gifts are divided equally amongst all staff. This is important, for behind the staff members you may have been in contact with are the rest of the staff working to keep your loved one safe and happy. This year I ask that you consider sending money, in the form of a cheque. By providing a cheque I am again assured that you did not risk your health shopping for other types of gifts. As well, my staff will not risk their health accepting non-monetary gifts, or having to sanitize currency, all which might carry the virus into our building. Now for great news! The visitor’s centre is complete. Very shortly, a video of the centre will be uploaded to the website. My initial discussions with public health indicate that we should get permission to conduct visits, even when we are in a High Alert state. This is because the Centre is effectively two separate rooms with no chance of aerosol movement or physical movement between the rooms. I anticipate visits after we come out of the current lock-down. More to follow. I have also increased the activities to seven days a week. I’m using part-time nurses to fill in on the days Mika is away (Weds, Sat, Sun). While the nurses are working with the residents, I hope to expand their role to FaceTime/Skype visits; give me some time to let the nurses become comfortable in their additional role! We will put together a program for the Christmas holidays, which we will broadcast live. More to follow next week. Your health, the health of the staff, and most importantly, the health of the residents in our building is paramount! Dennis Levesque Chief Administrative Officer Date: September 1, 2020... WEEK 26 TIME TO REGROUP 1. Well here we are at the mid-point of week 26. We’ve seen many challenges presented by COVID-19, but through it all we’ve stayed the course and kept our residents and ourselves safe. WELL DONE! But now we need to focus on our procedures to ensure you have well-earned time off as well as reducing our costs. 2. To date, we’ve spent in excess of $140,000.00 on salaries, equipment and PPE. We cannot sustain this expenditure rate so I am directing Managers to ensure that all employees use the UV sanitizer in the Office to sanitize masks. You can get up to 25 masks sanitized in 30 minutes. Marta will create a schedule for you to reserve time. This is important, given COVID-19 does not seem to want to disappear. 3. You’ve all worked incredibly hard, and I’ve directed Managers to find time or you to take some vacation time. We’ll start at one week off, and longer, if Managers can maintain their respective operational manning. While on vacation I caution you on COVID fatigue. Don’t take risks, which may jeopardize your family our SPPR family, and our residents. Please remember you professional obligation to prevent the virus from entering our building. Ensure you stay in your family bubble and adhere to all precautionary measures. 4. We must also get back into our professional training. We must hav our ORCA training up to date by September 28th. This doesn’t mean you do the entire year. Do the training up to the end of Sept, as highlighted in the training calendar. 5. It’s been a difficult three weeks for me, as I lost my last aunt and recovery from my knee replacement is slower than I expected. However, my spirits are lifted hearing about your support for Jerry Grod. Please continue to maintain your positive attitude. SELF ISOLATE WEAR YOUR MASK EVERYWHERE MAINTAIN 2 METERS FROM OTHERS
