Due to the Coronavirus, the St. Thomas Gun Club unfortunately has made the decision, with respect to everyone's health, to close the club to guests and close the clubhouse to all. The regular weekly practice will still continue via utilizing the outside garage setup for MEMBERS ONLY, until further notice. For all MEMBERS that are choosing to still come and enjoy the facilities, we are asking that you keep everyone's health in mind and exercise the recommendations from the Can...adian Public Health Services. Today's appreciation post goes out to the St. Thomas Gun Club's President - Bob Morphy If you need to find Bob at anytime...head to the club! He'll be there working in some facet!! Noone really knows (other than Bob) how much work is required in today's shooting landscape to keep the club running! It is impressive the dedication Bob puts out! It is invaluable to the Club!! It is exceptionally noticable at our big shoots throughout the summer when he's there as the sunrises ensuring we're ready for each day and there until the sun goes down to ensure the next day will be just as succesful!! Trapshooting in Ontario would not be as successful as it is without the St. Thomas Gun Club and Bob's hard work and dedication is definitely a major factor in that!!

Today's appreciation post goes out to Dave Storring!! Dave is an integral part of our large ATA shoots we host at our club! He is always in attendance and if you're there before the shootin' starts or when it stops, you'll be sure to see Dave out on the line helping in some facet. Aside from that, Dave also sponsors a fun event at each ATA shoot weekend - "The Storring Miss & Out" - it's no secret that Dave puts down $500 to be paid out - $300 to first plate, $150 to second ...place and $50 to third place. ATTENTION GUN CLUB CAMPERS!! Just wanted to advise everyone of the possibility of very "soupy" conditions throughout the camping area of the Gun Club for the upcoming "Federal Shell Shoot" CAMPING WILL REMAIN OPEN!!... However, this is just to ensure you are cognizant that if this wet weather keeps up, there is a possibility of having your trailer / RV stuck..... .......but hey, if you do get stuck, it's not a bad rate per night and you wouldn't have a problem ensuring your spot is reserved for the Canadians in June!!

Our very own Terry Jordan continues to crush it down south at the Florida State Shoot! Wednesday he took the Senior Veteran title with a 99 in the Singles (16 yards) and the Senior Veteran title in Doubles. He then followed that up by taking the Senior Veteran title in Doubles on Thursday and Friday as well!!!... CONGRATULATIONS TERRY!!

Congratulations to St. Thomas Gun Club's own Terry Jordan and Verne Higgs for representing us well down south in Florida at the "Southern Grand" Verne shot a 100 Straight in the Singles Championship and walked away the "AA Champion" Terry Jordan shot a 98 in the "Doubles Class Championship" on the last squad, in low light conditions to become the "AA Champion" and a 96 in the preliminary Doubles event to become the Sr. Veteran Champion!... The Canadians are approaching fast which are being held at the St. Thomas Gun Club!!
