Last year Mohammad Dib al-Har’s (Abu Kifah), face became famous last year when this clip of him clutching a little girl rescued from an airstrike in Idlib went ...viral around the world and reduced a BBC newsreader to tears. It was one of many lives he saved. Yesterday he was shot and killed with six of his fellow volunteers while on night shift at the White Helmets centre in Sarmin.
