Welcome to our first fundraiser of 2020! https://forms.gle/bewd9QMfLFtsXHes7 We will be selling sweets and Krispy Kreme donuts for Rakhri with FREE Delivery to raise funds for COVID-19 care packages that will go towards the homeless community in Downtown Vancouver. These care packages will consist of a variety of items ranging from hand sanitizers, face masks, and cleansing wipes to resources that can provide help against violence! ... Our delivery will be contactless and drivers will wear personal protective equipment (masks and gloves). The boxes will be disinfected prior to delivery. Save yourself the risk of going out during this pandemic and support a good cause at the same time!!! Rakhri is a tradition in the South Asian culture where a brother promises to look after his sister and in return she prays for his well-being. It celebrates the bond that they have for one another and serves as a reminder that they will always be there for one another. Just as a rakhri signifies a brother protecting his sister, we want to protect the less fortunate in this time of need. This is the very reason the team at S.A.V.E is taking initiative towards providing relief from the pandemic for the homeless community as well as providing them resources to combat violence and abuse in their community, which is something that’s always prevalent in their lives unfortunately
