TONIGHT ON ZOOM FOR PRENATAL MAMAS! Join me this evening 730 for a blissful Prenatal Meditation to nurture the soul within, hosted by @nsdoula - sign up here: https://linktr.ee/nsdoula I love openers, particularly this one. Playing around as a child I realized this is a great way to relieve stress, as it encourages nice deep breathing! In a previous post I mentioned the lungs have four times the sensory to motor nerves, which travel up to the brain via our vagus nerve...... this means our breath can 100% help control our emotional state and in turn impacts how the rest of our body responds by activating the parasympathetic system. You don't need fancy breathwork or pranayama, simply noticing the flow of your breath is enough. This is an amazingly simple tool each of us have access to anytime, anywhere and an amazing tool to share with children. Pregnant mamas, practicing this will also help bebe relax as it also does for new mamas holding babes. Thank you @the_yoga_root for letting me use your space to capture these images! See more

This weekend I took a training in #yoganidra with @stevefazzari @karmateachers ...now I see why I always wanted do take it and feel very lucky to finally have gotten the chance (thank you to everyone who played with Sophia so I could join ). It was amazing!! I realize this is part of what I incorporate into my 'bedtime yin' class many love (along with #kundalini + #soundhealing). If you are yet to experience Yoga Nidra... stay tuned this week for classes coming soon on the shore Yoga Nidra is a profoundly powerful healing practice accessible to all. MENTAL HEALTH + SOMATOEMOTIONAL RELEASE FOR ALL AGES (links below for personal support): Mental health is part of each of our journeys to varying degrees, it ...is simply part of the human experience. How we handle the challenges, are based largely on our early years and our toolkit... but we always have the opportunity to change and add to our healthy coping skills. This time in particular, has brought mental health to the forefront, in the sense that it has challenged many of us in our relationships with others and ourselves, financially, emotionally, physically... and it has also offered an opportunity to go within and heal. Incredibly powerful and difficult if we don't necessarily have the tools to support ourselves, and can't reach out to support systems.
