**COVID UPDATE** As a team, Kayla (our studio manager) and I have been working extremely hard to keep and maintain our studios so our creative community and their guests have safe spaces and environments to enjoy and create in. As many of you know, we have had strict Covid protocols in place since day one of being able to reopen to the public back in August. It has literally been a full-time job just keeping up to date with all that needs to be done in order for us to remain ...Covid compliant! I honestly can't thank Kayla enough for all the hours she has put in to update websites, contracts, rental agreements, you name it...she's been on it!! Now, as London moves into the RED zone today, we just wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder to please continue to be diligent with regards to our rental protocols. This will help to ensure that everyone who is visiting our studios, remains safe. Our Covid pre-screening forms are STILL in effect and are required to be completed by our renters and ALL of your guests in order to enter or visit our studio spaces. These are MANDATORY for EVERYONE and have been put in place by the Ontario Provincial Government and the London Health Unit for businesses such as ours. We have a strict 5 PERSON ONLY MAXIMUM limit of individuals allowed in the studio at one time. We know this might be tough for those of you who have larger groups to photograph, but unfortunately, that is the maximum number allowed at this time. As always, our aim is to keep you and your guests as safe as possible. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe work environment for you to continue to enjoy and to create in. A HUGE thank you to everyone who has and continues to help keep our doors open, by maintaining these measures and also for keeping your clients safe while they are visiting our premises. *MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAY'S FRIENDS!* It's that day of the year where we get to be with our loved ones and family to celebrate what is important. So I wanted to take a moment to let you know just HOW important YOU.....our clients and studio members..... are to US!!! THANK YOU to each and everyone one of our customers and SC members who have and continue to, support our business!! We are full of gratitude to those of you who have stuck with us as we have tried t...o navigate through this pandemic. We are beyond grateful! I know things may have been a little quiet on our business page in recent months and that is mostly due to us having to do some business restructuring and also reasons surrounding my health and the health of some of my family members. I do want to take a moment to say a special thank you to my girl and studio manager Kayla Dyck for being so amazing at keeping things together and making sure it's "business as unusual" for all our customers and members!! **THE END OF AN ERA** Some folks think change is a scary thing and they may be right?! BUT change can also be a GOOD thing too!! It gives us the opportunity to reflect, grow, and to look ahead to the future with a sense of excitement and enthusiasm! I'm a firm believer in taking the leap of faith and giving new things a try.... Five years ago (to this month in fact), I started an incredible journey into business with one of my best friends!! @Mai Tilson and I took a leap of faith and started our business @Studio Collective. With a vision and goal in mind, but no clue how it would all come together, we decide what the hell...let's give it a go!! The rest, as they say "is history." The years have flown by and through our success (with a few bumps along the way..haha!) we have managed to give London and its many creative folks, a welcoming and safe space to create their art and to bring a sense of community to our area. Here we are, years later, and again, we find change on the horizon! Being in business with someone you admire and respect is one of the best things in the world, but like anything, sometimes good things must come to an end. Growing and learning from one another and sharing pivotal life moments together, has been an incredible part of our journey together. Now, as we both move forward on our own different respective paths, I am excited for us both at what the future holds. I know there will always be much love, support and encouragement shared and given between us, because that's just how we roll!! That's something that will never change! ;) To my wonderful friend Mai, I wish you all the success in the world my friend. I'm excited to see where your path takes you and what adventures lie ahead for you. It's time to spread those beautiful wings of yours and SOAR my friend!! **COVID UPDATE** GREAT NEWS FOR OUR COLLEAGUES AND PERSONAL CARE PROFESSIONALS IN LONDON!!** Personal Service Settings (Effective, Thursday, October 29, 2020)... All persons in the City of London or County of Middlesex who provide personal care services relating to the hair or body, including hair salons and barbershops, manicure and pedicure salons, aesthetician services, piercing services, tanning salons, spas, and tattoo studios must take the following actions. When performing any personal care service that requires the client to remove their mask or face covering, any persons providing personal care services must wear a medical-grade procedural mask and face shield. Persons who provide any kind of personal care services must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a mask or face covering. Employees or service providers who cannot wear a face covering are not permitted to have direct contact with clients. Owners or operators must inform all staff who provide personal care services of the increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 when providing a service that requires the client to remove their mask or face covering. Any multi-participant steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, or bathhouses must be closed. Super happy for all our friends in the industry that can continue to work within these guidelines!!
