I'm back from a weekend in Port Elgin NB, taking my terrier written and practicle tests with CPPS (Canadian Professional Pet Stylist) I successfully completed and earned Masters scores on both! Canadian Professional Pet Stylists Assoc is the only national program in Canada. Many grooming schools tell their students they are certified when they graduate, when in reality they are diploma holders, tested against whatever that school choose to accept as standards of practice.... CPPS certification program tests Groomers to a National Standard against their peers in three levels of certification, to suit the needs of all Groomers. Certifications are done to the highest standard of ethics, safety and the breed standards of the Canadian Kennel Club. They strive to continue the education and knowledge of Groomers across Canada. I am proud to say I'm now 2 tests away from my Master Stylist title! Thank you Bonnie Nelson for such a beefcake of a Bedlington, to Angela Forrester and Jen Sinclair for being my awesome certifiers and to all my friends and clients for cheering me on as I push through these challenging tests!
