The V neck (left) is typically chosen by women who are shorter in the neck and fuller through the bust. The V gives the illusion of a longer neckline and the diagonal of the V minimizes a medium to fuller bust, while the lighter weight fabric drapes easily over curves. Although both cardis are no close ne...cklines, the sweater on the right is higher in the back of the neckline with a straighter, closer opening, and bulkier fabric balancing proportions. Its a fact: clothing comes in a standard size; we dont. Most women need some alteration or another, yet only a small percentage handle this basic element of personal style. Do your sleeves and pants need to be hemmed? What is your best hem length for skirts and dresses? If youre curvy in the hips and smaller in the waist, do you have your waistband taken in?
