More details below... ----------------------- JOB POSTING Title: Arts Administration Assistant Application Deadline: Friday, November 27th, 2020 Pay: $20 hourly for 15 hours per week Location: Sudbury Term: Part-time contract position for 22 weeks Start Date: January 2021 Since 1996, Myths and Mirrors has been working with diverse groups in Sudbury to develop collaborative art projects and programs that provide opportunities for creative expression. We seek to create innovative, experimental art, to engender a sense of community identity, and most importantly, to provide a forum for folks to express themselves. This position is best suited for someone seeking to gain experience in arts administration in the community arts and/or non-profit sector. Working closely with the Artistic Director, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and grow skills in administration, community outreach, grant writing and reporting, social media management, and more. Candidates that identify as Black, a Person of Colour, and/or Indigenous are strongly encouraged to apply. Duties: - Assist in the development, planning, and facilitation of community arts activities - Assist with outreach activities to community and partner organizations - Assist with developing and managing volunteer program - Assist with grant writing and reporting - Social media management and marketing - Website development/maintenance - Maintain office/studio space - General administration - Attend staff and board meetings as required - Other related tasks and duties Qualifications: - Interest and/or experience in community-engaged arts - Interest and/or experience in working in the non-profit sector - Interest and/or experience in working with people of diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, graphic design, and web design platforms - Knowledge of various social media platforms - Strong research and writing skills - Excellent time-management and organizational skills - Adaptable; ability to work well independently and collaboratively To apply for this position, please submit a cover letter and resume to [email protected] by FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27th, 2020.
