There are many reasons why parents choose to continue their children’s Montessori education for the full 3 years of the Casa program such as: A Montessori classroom fosters independence With so much time spent at home throughout these past months, it’s important to bring your child back into a socialized educational routine. Our Montessori classroom provides a prepared environment where children are able to develop independence and do it themselves. The materials were cr...eated to be self-correcting, therefore, students can identify a mistake in their thinking without an adult pointing it out to them. The students have the power to ask for help when they need it and Montessori equips the child for everyday life, giving them practical skills which give them purpose and enables them to be a contributing member of their family, classroom, and community. Montessori views children not just as a miniature person, but as a capable person. #montessoribenefits #sudburymontessori #montikids #earlychildhoodeducation #montessoriclassroom #toddler #precasa #casa #frenchenrichment #montessorieducation

Activity of the week: The Continent Box Purpose: The purpose of this activity is to learn about animal life on the continents and to understand the diversity of life on each continent. ... Directions: The teacher will lay out each of the continent cards on the mat. The children and the teacher will then discuss each continent. A child will then pick an animal from the box and match it to its respective continent card using the pictures. They will repeat this until all of the animals have been matched up. To make this activity more challenging, the teacher can place the labels for each animal over top of the picture, encouraging the child to read the label rather than using the pictures or the teacher can place something over top of the picture of the continent so that the child will have to remember what continent each animal should be placed on. #activityoftheweek #continentbox #earlychildhoodeducation #geography #montessori #montessoriactivity #sudburymontessori

When you choose a Montessori education for your child, you’ll see that we make learning actually fun! Learning doesn’t just come from lectures or listening, learning comes from doing and experiencing the world. Learning is real and relevant, engaging, and fun. Montessori takes the child’s education outside the classroom. It affects how they interact with others, teaches them to care for themselves, their environment, and others, and teaches them how to be an active par...ticipant in their learning and environment. The Montessori materials naturally bring about the inquisitive nature of children allowing them to think of new ways to do things. It teaches them how to discover, but doesn’t give a step-by-step direction. #Montessori #learningisfun #sudburymontessori #earlyshildhoodeducation #sudbury #benefitsofmontessori

Here is the aim of the truly new education; first of all to discover the child and effect his liberation. -Maria Montessori Maria Montessori believed the best way for a child to learn came from doing and experiencing the world. The holistic curriculum, under the direction of a specially prepared teacher, allows the child to experience the joy of learning, ensures the development of self-esteem, and provides the experiences from which children create their knowledge. #maria...montessoriquote #wemakelearningfun #first6years #foundationforalifetimeoflearning #earlychildhoodeducation #montessori #sudburymontessori #mariamontessoriquote #independence #first6years #foundationforalifetimeoflearning #earlychildhoodeducation #montessori #sudburymontessori

To make it clear whether or not a child has understood, we should see whether he can form a vision of it within the mind, whether he has gone beyond the level of mere understanding. Maria Montessori Montessori is a student-centered approach that encourages creativity and curiosity and leads children to ask questions, explore, investigate and think for themselves as they acquire skills. . .... . #mariamontessoriquote #first6years #foundationforalifetimeoflearning #earlychildhoodeducation #montessori #sudburymontessori See more

At Montessori, we integrate French language learning in all of our classrooms. In our English Casa classes, daily 30 minute lessons introduce the children to the French language through songs, games and other fun-filled activities. As in other core curriculum areas, the emphasis is placed on hands-on activities where new vocabulary is taught using the actual object, which is then touched and felt, and by performing the action described. We also offer French Casa to immerse ...students in the language. #Montessori #FrenchCasa #FrenchLearning #Language #MontessoriSudbury #earlychildhoodeducation
