We have re-opened our self serve wash bays & some of the vacuums. We have re-opened our change machine & vending products. We are also accepting coins again at our touchless automatic wash bays. Please be aware, to maintain proper Covid-19 social distancing protocols, we only have 1 vacuum station open for the first 2 vacuum islands. The blue hose shampoo & vac is the one operating on the first island. The yellow hose fragrance & vac is the one open on the middle island. On the final island, near the automatic bays, you have your choice of either vac. There is only access to the last island vacs from the side that the vacs face. There is NEVER any access to those vacs from the entrance lane to bay 6. Please give others proper social distance of at least 6 feet at the change machine. Stay safe!

Notice regarding COVID-19 ( coronavirus ). Effective immediately Suds City Car Wash has limited access to the automatic car wash bays ONLY ( bays 6 & 7 ). We are only accepting Visa & MasterCard at the automatic bays as well, sorry no coins. We have closed the self serve coin bays, the vacuums, the vending machine & the change machine until further notice. These changes have been made to address public health concerns related to COVID-19 ( coronavirus ). We hope we all can be safe during these difficult times.

With the heavy snow & wind warnings for today & tonight, we have closed our whole wash for the day & likely until noon on January 16th. Hopefully the forecast for warmer temps & rain are accurate & will get rid of this winter blast.

When temperatures are below 0 & sometimes even slightly above 0, we are not able to safely have the self serve bays open for use. Ice forms on the steel grates & on the exit side of the bays. Especially with soap suds being a micro thin layer of moisture, ice or freezing forms, making it not safe for customers. This week we may not have our self serve bays open again until Saturday. We will have cones out & the coin acceptors & pumps turned off. Our Touchless automatic wash bays & vacuums will be available for use as normal.

For customer safety, with some below 0 temps happening, we won’t be able to have the self serve wash bays open @ 7 AM in the mornings. We will have them open as soon as the temps are warm enough in the day, generally by 10 AM to 11 AM when the sun finally shines on the property. Cones will be out & the coin acceptors in the bays shut off. The Touchless automatic bays & vacuums will be open & not usually affected by colder temps.

Paving is done for today, just gotta let it harden over night. Our touchless automatic wash bays ( 6 & 7 ) will be open again on Thursday morning ( September 26, 2019 ). All self serve coin operated wash bays & vacuums are open normal hours. We will be doing some patching around the property starting @ 8AM Thursday morning. Please watch for cones & workers.

Both touchless automatic bays ( 6 & bay 7 ) are closed today ( September 25, 2019 ) while we are having the entrance pavement fixed & replaced. We should have both bays open again tomorrow. All of the self serve, coin operated bays are still open.

We were able to get our second Touchless wash up & running. We got some custom aluminum electrical boxes made & installed along with whole new wire looms in the bay. Great to have both Touchless washes up and operating again. Thanks for your patience.

Water restrictions were over on April 22, 2019. We are open again normal business hours of 7AM to 10PM, 7 days a week. Unfortunately, just as we were open & able to wash vehicles again, 1 of our touchless wash bays decided to quit. We had a major electrical part fail & are waiting for it to be shipped from Wisconsin in the US. We still have the other touchless wash bay operating fine & our 5 self serve bays are open & working fine too.

ATTENTION SUDS CITY CUSTOMERS The Regional District has Implemented Mandatory Stage 4 Water Restrictions to be in Effect from April 12 to 22 for the Comox Valley Water System While an EMERGENCY WATER PIPE REPAIR Takes Place.... In Order to Maintain Sufficient Water Flows for Domestic & Firefighting Needs, ALL Use of Water for ANY Purpose Other Than Drinking, Food Preparation & Personal Hygiene is PROHIBITED During This Time. As Such, Suds City Car Wash Will NOT Have our Touchless or Self Serve Wash Bays Operating Until The Regional District has Lifted the Stage 4 Water Restrictions. Hey Comox Valley, this is what was on the water filter at my car wash today causing water flow issues. This is FROM the water line coming into the car wash from The Town of Comox & Regional District! The SAME water going to our homes. The filter was totally covered with this muck. The pic was taken after I started to clean it today. That is why the clean area is showing. This filter was just cleaned a little over a month ago & was completely covered over again within that time. The car wash is back up running again. I will be checking this filter weekly now. You might want to check your own water filters at home too & inquire to the Regional District about the quality of OUR water in Comox. Sorry for any inconvenience!

With the temps freezing this morning, we have the self serve bays closed until it's warmer. Not sure if that will be 11:00 or noon today. Especially if our hi temp for today is only forecast to be +2. It will also be an early close of the self serve bays today as well because of colder temps.

We had a snow day today & were closed. We will be closed again on Tuesday ( Feb 10 ). We will try to dig out on Wednesday & open again.

With the cold temps & colder wind chills, Suds City will not open our chains & touchless bays until later on Saturday, Feb 9. Possible 10, 11, or even Noon or later. It depends on temps & what the wind chills are. We won't have the self serve wand wash bays open at all on Saturday & possibly not on Sunday as well.

We opened the self serve bays @ noon today. They have been lined up ever since. We will be closing them early when the temps drop too much.

Cold temps & now more wind & snow have caused us to close early tonight, Feb 3.

With temps below 0 & wind chills around -10, the self serve bays at Suds City Car Wash are closed today Feb. 3. The forecast is for even colder temps on Monday Feb 4th so the self serve bays will be closed then as well. The vacuums & automatic touchless bays are still open during the cold.
