Here’s another little blog about a trend I am noticing in reflexology. I see a ton of eager, excited reflexologists on the internet now. Due to COVID I’ve seen a lot of innovation in the field as people try to adapt to offering reflexology in cases where you can’t actually see your client. A lot of reflexologists have taken the time to upgrade their skills with continuing education (hurrah, I’m a fan of that). One thing that I notice is missing is critical thinking. Every new... innovation and book are lauded as fabulous and wonderful. Great way to support the community but are we doing our field any justice? Are you checking references in the books? Are they current? When you take a course do you apply critical thinking. Some stuff just doesn’t measure up. Reflexology cannot assist every condition. But I am seeing many reflexologists who believe it does. No modality helps everything. We need to take off the rose-coloured glasses and start applying critical thinking to the information that is being offered to us. Our profession deserves it. See more

So here is a proper study per se: reflexology edges out aromatherapy. BUT, reflexology was only done once at 10 minutes per foot. And it sounds like the feet were massaged with lavender in the second group. I think it should have been body massage for the same time.
