Sugaring Change has evolved significantly from it’s conception in 2013 and we have left our accountants office after our year end with varied emotions over the years: weariness, bravery, fearfulness, anxiety, and hope to name just a few! Operating a small business is not for the... faint of heart, but this year we want to share that we are feeling strong and grateful! We can't even. Our hearts are so full! As many of you know, we support Hope International Development Agency. Each year we give a portion of our profits towards their work in Cambodia- providing clean water, gardening tools, education and microfinancing to women who are working to get themselves out of poverty. This year has been a hard one for small businesses. Knowing that, one of our incredible clients stepped up to partner with us to meet our donation goal for 2020. The...y DONATED $1000 on our behalf to Hope. Can you even believe it? This year we have been able to jointly support 60 families in becoming self-reliant. We've had a few clients reaching out to double-check that we are open so we just wanted to shout it out! We are OPEN and exceeding the recommendations that our beloved PHO, Bonnie Henry, has mandated. Each client is screened before entering the studio, each client must wash hands or use sanitizer upon arrival, treatment rooms, bathrooms, and high touch surfaces are sanitized after use, both team members and clients must wear masks while in the studio- this means no facial s...ugaring beyond brows and the studio is organized to eliminate client cross over in the reception area. Our clients can attest that we are taking the recommendations seriously. An important note to our amazing clients. We wanted to reach out to thank all of you who have supported our restart during these complicated times. Thank you for trusting us and knowing you can expect exceptional service and care in a safe environment here at Sugaring Change. As we look forward to the fall and certainly more unknown times we would like to clarify our cancellation policy so as to avoid any confusion going forward.... As you may already know we would only like to see you when you are healthy. Should you be experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 we kindly ask that you call to reschedule your appointment. Should you need to reschedule for COVID-19 reasons we will, of course, waive any cancellation fees that would normally incur. However, should you need to cancel without 24 hours notice there will be a strict fee of 50% of your service cost. Should you no show for your appointment you will be charged 100% of the service cost. The fees will need to be paid prior to any further bookings with us and your account will be disabled until we hear from you. Creating a strict cancellation policy ensures that when you book with us, you have that time dedicated for you and your services. It also ensures we are able to fit in as many clients as we can as we attempt to work down our waitlist. Thank you again for your support and understanding, The Sugaring Change team
