I would like to update you on what we are doing about Covid-19 and the latest restrictions put in place by Alberta Health Services. There is growing global and local concern around Covid-19 (coronavirus), and we are doing our best to assist our health care system with #FlatteningTheCurve and protecting our customers. Though we will be affected by added cleaning costs and lower revenues, we are able to continue most or all our classes and events with precautions set in place.... On March 12, 2020, Alberta Health Services implemented more serious measures (online at alberta.ca) regarding mass gatherings in order to limit exposure to Covid-19. Though Alberta has relatively few cases and risk of contracting the virus remains low, we are supportive of these measures. Physical contact and proximity is an important consideration with our styles of dancing in regard to Covid-19 prevention. Along with our gatherings being smaller and well under the 250-person restriction, with the safety measures implemented as per below, we feel safe to continue our classes, dance socials, rental bookings, and team rehearsals as scheduled. Further, any cancelations or rescheduling of events or classes will be quickly and thoroughly communicated. Regretfully Lindy Harvest 2020 is officially cancelled. There were hopes of making something happen in recent weeks, but we found it difficult to devote the tim...e and energy towards creating an event that Czarina Ramos, Katryna Grace, and Birkley Wisniewski would all be content with and excited about. The challenges of pandemic safety would have caused major compromises with both hiring artists, and producing events & classes that people would enjoy and feel comfortable in. We are so very sorry. Hey folks, with the recent restrictions set in place today by our local health authority, we will need to put a pause on both Summer Solstice (June 19-21) and Lindy Harvest (September 24-28) for the time being.
