It's not very often that I eat a second dinner but we had to go to @sukiyakihouseyyc to satisfy our matsutake cravings before the season is over. This Matsutake... Soup with wild pine mushrooms in dashi broth with hamachi, scallop, tofu and vegetables was outstanding!!! I would go back for this again if it's still available! Of course a visit to @sukiyakihouseyyc is not complete without some of their feature fish. We loved the Hamachi Carpaccio with Yuzu Kosho Dressing. I'm always in awe with their beautiful plating! The part that excites me the most on every visit is their feature fish tasting. On this visit, we had the Hobou (Sea Robin) with lime kombu powder, Kamasu (baracuda) with ume bonito, and Kanpachi Toro (belly of Amberjack) with red yuzu kosho. Thanks @j000d for recommending the Kamasu! It was simply AMAZING! Of course, the Kanpachi Toro is always a hit!
