Our #workinprogresswednesday feature is the OMNI Long Term Care Home expansion in Almonte. Work is continuing with all COVID protocols in place during this cold January. There is continued focus on the safety of both our workers and equipment when the temperatures drop. Underground service installations are ongoing in addition to the exterior stormwater management piping and structures. #Shoutout to our IPD partner HDR, the architectural firm responsible for the design of the Business Hub as well as the other buildings that are part of the Conventional New Builds project at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. HDR received an award from The Architect’s Newspaper a New York City based publication - as part of their 2020 Best of Design Awards. HDR was recognized under the Editor’s Pick Unbuilt Commercial category for the Business Hub. Pictured here is the concret...e foundation pour that was completed on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Additional level 1 concrete work will continue throughout the winter.
