The 1968 Detroit Tigers win the World Series!.... It's a sweltering summer in 1960s Detroit. Motown plays on the radio, backyard barbecues are lit...and the threat of race riots lingers in the air. "SUMMER OF CHANGE 1968" is a saga of adversity, family and loyalty sprinkled with 1960s history. It traces how two families one White the other Black each suffer a racially motivated catastrophic event. But thru a chance meeting at historic Tiger Stadium in 1968, these two famil...ies who have every reason to hate each other, thanks to the 1968 Detroit Tigers, strike up a friendship that in many parts of1960s America just could not happen. These two families come to the realization that love, support, and togetherness does not come from the color of your skin but from the heart. SUMMER OF CHANGE 1968 chronicles the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy and how the two families handle these tragic events. Starting on Friday May 1, 2020 we will be releasing the first four chapters. Then every day or two after a new chapter will be added, but this is going to be an "interactive reading experince." From chapter 1 thru each chapter you will be able to literally view or read about some of the very events being told. See more
