Calling all contemporary artists who have lived or are currently living and working in British Columbia we would love for you add your information to our new BC... artist database! Happy New Year to you all ... This year the Penticton Art Gallery's resolution is to profile the work of as many artists as we are able and to compile an extensive list of contemporary artists who have a connection with or are currently living and practicing in British Columbia, in any medium. The idea behind this is to act as a launching pad for art historians, collectors, and other artists to learn more about your work and to reach out and connect with you. The database will be permanently available on our website for everyone to explore If you are interested in being included as part of this resource please fill out our online form at the link below ... Thank you for your time and consideration. http://pentictonartgallery.com/contemporary-artists-in-bc-d For more information or questions please contact: McKaila Ferguson, MSc Collections + Communications Manager Penticton Art Gallery 199 Marina Way | Penticton BC | V2A 1H5 (250) 493 2928 | www.pentictonartgallery.com | [email protected]

Write your life story two pages at a time. With everyone isolating as winter approaches, why not use this time to write your autobiography or memoir in a supportive group environment via Zoom. Leigh Morrow is a certified teacher of Guided Autobiography and has spent her career helping people tell their stories as an investigative reporter for both radio and television for nearly three decades. Workshop is on Saturday, November 28th, 10 am - 4 pm and the fee is $149. Registrants will be provided with the link.

Why Art? Why Now? These questions have only become more pertinent as we navigate the many inequities and crises facing our society. We remain optimistic about t...he potential for arts and culture to help, both in healing longstanding wounds and in building an equitable future. How can we use art, culture and creativity to shape a better world? Join the BC Alliance and SFU Woodward's November 19 & 26 for a pair of online conversations between artists and experts to untangle how we as artists can best unlock our potential to revitalize and rebuild. We invite you to hold space for, and participate in, these conversations. These conversations are free, and include ASL interpretation. Visit allianceforarts.com/why-art
