Some gelding may form a bean a harden ball of smegma inside the sheath. When this happens there are signs to watch for such as, A swollen sheath. Flakes or deposits of smegma on the sides of the shealth or on his hind legs. Not being able to drop to urinate. Can cause the horse to exhibit signs of colic or irritation. Painful beans cause constant discomfort which can cause your horse to become cranky. Sheath cleaning - $60 to $80
