Let's talk realistic New Years Resolutions. There's less than 2 full days until 2021. The start of the New Year is often the perfect time to turn a new page in your life, which is why so many people make New Year’s resolutions. Nearly half of us are making New Year's resolutions, but less than 10 percent of us are actually keeping them. Whether it's lack of motivation, lack of resources, or we just lose interest, it's time to make a fresh start and figure out ways to finish what we've started. What is an easy goal for you to set in 2021?

VIRTUAL SANTA DRAW Want to get a surprise message from Santa? As we all know, this year is all kinds of different. We are sad to announce that the SSRA will unfortunately not be holding our annual in-person Seasons Celebration event, but it doesn’t mean we have to miss out on the fun of Christmas, especially seeing Santa! They say seeing is believing! We think this might do the trick - this Christmas, amaze your children with a pre-recorded video from Santa. This particula...r Santa's workshop is working extra hard to make it magical for your child. Due to the popularity of virtual offerings, we will be drawing for 100 households to get their very own pre-recorded video from the North Pole! If your name is chosen from the draw Santa's little helpers will then reach out to you via email with instructions to gather information about your little ones so that they can tailor the video experience to them. Santa will use this secret information on the children listed and will read this out during the video. Follow the link https://bit.ly/virtualsantadraw2020 to enter your household into the Virtual Santa Draw by Thursday November 26, 2020 Space is limited to 100 households. Resident Only. Draw winners will be contacted after the deadline date for further instructions.

HAPPY NATIONAL HOMEMADE BREAD DAY! Let’s celebrate this yummy day with a delicious bread recipe for Cinnamon Raisin Bread. Did you know that the November is the National Raisin Bread month?? #themoreyouknow Ingredients FOR THE DOUGH: 1 cup milk... 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted 3 tbsp honey 2.25 tsp instant yeast 17.5 ounces by weight all-purpose flour (3.5 cups, measured)* 1 tsp salt 2 eggs 1/2 cup raisins butter for greasing the pan FOR THE CINNAMON FILLING: 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp ground cinnamon 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted 1/8 tsp salt Instructions 1. Combine the milk, melted butter, and honey in a microwave safe glass. 2. Heat the liquid in the microwave to 110 to 115 degrees F, then stir in the yeast. Let this mixture sit for 10 minutes, until foamy. 3. Pour the yeast liquid into the bowl of a stand mixer, and add the flour, salt, eggs, and raisins. 4. Stir it around with a wooden spoon or the dough hook of the mixer until roughly combined. 5. Fit the stand mixer with the dough hook, and knead for 10 minutes on medium low speed. 6. Cover the dough bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for one to two hours, until doubled in size. 7. Lightly flour your countertop and spread the dough into a rectangle that is the length of your loaf pan (about 9 inches). It doesn't have to be perfect. 8. Make the cinnamon filling by stirring together the brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and salt. 9. Spread this mixture all over the top of the dough rectangle, then roll the dough up like a cinnamon roll, and pinch the seam shut. 10. Grease a loaf pan with butter, and place the bread roll seam side down into the pan. 11. Cover the loaf with plastic wrap and let it rise for 60 minutes. 12. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F, and place a sheet pan on the lowest shelf of the oven. Add enough boiling water to cover the bottom of the sheet pan, then bake the bread on the shelf above the water for 40-50 minutes until the inside registers 190 to 200 degrees on an instant read thermometer. 13. Let the bread cool completely on a wire rack before slicing it. Enjoy! CC: fifteenspatulas See more

TASTY TUESDAY: If you thought your Thanksgiving dinner was good, just wait until you see this incredibly delicious Thanksgiving leftover recipe. What do you make with your leftovers? THANKSGIVING LEFTOVER BALLS... INGREDIENTS 2 cups stuffing, broken up if chunky 3/4 cups turkey, finely chopped 3/4 cup finely grated parmesan cheese 3 tablespoon chopped parsley 4 -5 cups cold mash potatoes 1 cup flour 1 large egg. lightly beaten 2 cups panko crumbs 1 1/2 - 2 cups of gravy for dipping INSTRUCTIONS Preparation: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. 1) In a large bowl, combine stuffing, turkey, parmesan cheese, and parsley. Mix until well 20 2) blended. Using your hands, form 1 1/2 inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue forming remaining balls. Place balls on the baking sheet and transfer to the freezer and let sit for 30 minutes (this step isn’t necessary but it does making forming the mash potatoes around it easier). 3) Set up an assembly line that includes four bowls lined in a row. Fill the first bowl with mashed potatoes, the second bowl with flour, the third bowl with the lightly beaten egg, and the fourth bowl with panko crumbs. 4) Remove stuffing balls from the freezer and wrap about 4 tablespoons of mash potato around it. Make sure you are working with cold mash potatoes for easy handling. Gently roll the ball in flour and then transfer it to the egg bowl. Using your hands or a fork, roll the ball around to cover it in the egg. Finally, dip and cover the ball in panko crumbs. Place the ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet and continue forming the remaining balls. 5) Fill a pan with enough to submerge the Thanksgiving Leftover balls. Heat oil to 365 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with paper towels. Working in batches, drop 2-3 balls into the oil and fry until balls are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to paper-towel-lined parchment baking sheet to drain. Continue deep frying remaining balls Adjust heat as needed to keep oil at a consistent 365 degrees F. Serve immediately with gravy. *Optional: garnish balls with parsley, additional finely grated parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes.

Gratitude is just as important for kids, as it is for adults and Thanksgiving, is a great time to involve kids in creating lasting family traditions. This may not be your traditional pie but this spinning "Gratitude Pie" chart helps kids pinpoint what they're thankful for and It’s a fun way to teach kids about gratitude this Thanksgiving. To make, cut out a construction paper circle the same size as the inside of a paper plate. Attach with a brass fastener, then remove a "slice" of the pie. Write "I'm Thankful for " along the top and ask them to add responses as they rotate the "slice" around the pie.
