After receiving notice from the Town of Caledon that the facilities closure was being extended until July, the league has unfortunately decided to cancel the remaining games this season. Below are the final playoff standings. In consideration that the season has been cut short there will be a refund for each player. Please see email for details. On Saturday, April 11th Matt's birthday the SNHL proudly donated $1119 in his memory to Jack.org. Our donation will go straight to work training young mental health leaders, delivering educational talks, developing ground breaking resources, and fuelling advocacy that's building a better Canada. As per a press release from the Town of Caledon, All recreation facilities and community centres will be closed effective through April 5, 2020. ... It's with great sadness that we share the news of the tragic and sudden passing of Matt Dowdle. Matt was a long standing member and team captain in the SNHL. After winning the Callaghan Cup and being named the Bill Whitbread Playoff MVP last season, he decided it was time to retire from Sunday nights. Matt was a great teammate, leader, and friend. His contribution to the success of the SNHL will never be forgotten. Our thoughts are with his wife Ali and their three kids, as ...well as the Dowdle and Earle families. We will honour Matt with helmet stickers and a moment of silence before each game this Sunday, and will dedicate the rest of our playoffs in his memory. Hey SNHL Players -- let's keep it safe out there, ok guys?

Attn: SNHL Members, You may have heard the tragic story about a local Caledon Hawks minor bantam player named Reese Meyer, who is battling for his life at at Sick Kids. Reese was recently diagnosed with a large tumour in a difficult-to-access part of the brain. Our Town and the hockey community has really come together to show support from stickers with Reese's name and #3, to a vigil at the Arena on Wednesday night, as well as a few fundraisers. He has even received a call... from Wayne Gretzky. I can't even begin to imagine what this family is going through. On behalf of the SNHL I will be making a donation. If anyone would like to add to the donation, I will be around to collect on Sunday night.
