The SPC has two spots left for our Youth paddling lessons Aug 5-7 from 1-4pm $50 for members and $75 for non-members. message for details!.

The SPC made a trip to the more challenging part of the red deer river with a finish @ the colcamp ledge!

The Sundre paddling club is setting out for its first river run of the season! Join us @ 2:00 this Sunday may 24th at the paddle shed. This trip will be dependent on the weather and height of the river after the weeks rainfall. We plan to put in @ RR 61 and paddle the class 1 section to the sundre bridge, any members with moving water experience are welcome to join.

Last night we celebrated the 68th birthday of our fearless leader Jim McCallister (no relation to Kevin that I know of). Jim has been an educator in the classroom and on the water since the late 60's playing a large part in starting whitewater kayaking in Alberta. His wealth of knowledge has helped many young paddlers represent Alberta and Canada at competitions all over the world!
