Hi Parents! Starting Monday please give yourself extra time for the following: 1. Parents must sign a daily screening form for each child and staff will take and record his/her temperature. Temperature readings will be taken again later in the day and recorded.... 2. Parents are asked to stay outdoors. Preschool children will be dropped off in the yard and afterschool children will be screened, then sent upstairs. 3. Please send 2 snacks and lunch in a lunchbox with utensils. Include hot lunch containers and freezer packs as needed. 4. Please wear masks at all drop offs and pickups as you will need to interact with staff. 5. Please drop off children between 8am and 9:15am. Doors will be locked, so if coming later, please call number on the door and someone will come screen your child. 6. If picking up your child before 4:15pm, please call and your preschool child will be escorted out to the front door area. Afterschool children will be sent to the side entrance. Looking forward to seeing you all Monday!

WE ARE REOPENING JUNE 1st!! Hi Everyone, We completed our information session this morning with Department of Early Childhood Education which provided an overview of the new Public Health rules put in place to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.... While we are still working through what we need to do over the next while, our first impression is positive. By working together and in conjunction with the existing Public Health rules put in place for home and work environments, our childcare centre can remain safe by following these preventative measures. We want to first say that it will not be business as usual. Every change has a purpose to better ensure the safety of all Families and Staff. Thank you for your patience as we work through the following items together. 1. Due to new screening equipment needs (example: contactless thermometer) and required deliverables and approvals, we will plan to open our facility on June 1st. 2. Everyone entering the facility must wash their hands and be screened daily. Parents will be asked to drop off and pick-up outside only and must be screened if entering. We will do what we can to greatly reduce your need to enter the facility. Note: Public Health recommends designating 1 adult family member to do all drop off and pick ups. 3. Children will not have access to materials commonly shared and not easily cleaned between use. We will be providing children their own set of crayons, markers, etc for individual use. 4. Children cannot use outdoor play structures nor the sandbox for now. 5. Public Health recommends we do not prepare food for children. Please provide all meals and snacks in lunch boxes, using hot food containers or freezer packs along with utensils as needed. Staff will help children open containers, however please ensure food is ready to eat with no need for staff to handle food. We will continue to provide drinks. 6. Due to screening requirements, the doors will be locked during the day. Please call ahead if you need to enter. 7. Masks are not needed for any child, unless sick. If sick with 2 or more Covid-19 symptoms, the child will be sent home. These rules may lessen or increase as directed by the Department of Early Childhood Education. To help us identify staffing needs, please email or text your intent to restart your child on June 1st as soon as possible. We will provide updates as needed, but please let us know of any questions or concerns. Thank you and kind regards, Jon and Karen

Hi Everyone, hope you are enjoying our beautiful sunny day! This update is in regards to the Governments announcements today that childcare centers can open on May 19th. However, at this time we do not see a reasonable way for us to guarantee a May 19th opening.... This all feels very sudden. We have not yet received any further direction from Public Health but we know new rules are coming. We also know we need to prepare a Covid-19 business plan, and will hopefully receive guidance on that soon. Even when information is provided, were sure there will be questions, actionable items and communications that will take time. Thank you so much for your continued support and patience while we sort out what we need to do to ensure the safety of all Families and Staff. We will provide updates as we learn more in the coming days as we strive to safely navigate our reopening. Kind regards, Jon and Karen

How is Everyone on this sunny day? Hope you are all well. Did you finish your Easter chocolate? Are you ready for some Easy Slime Making, with Maya & Ben!! Heres a fun video they made to show you how. This recipe is from the FB page Corona Lock Down Parents Activity Support Group.... This is great for any age and gloves might be a good idea before adding the food colouring. Or mix the food colouring in the conditioner before adding to the cornstarch. Ive also seen baby lotion used instead of hair conditioner. This is our childrens first instructional video, so if it makes you smile, theyd love to see your comments

I want to take a moment to Thank all our Families who showed up for us yesterday to support our Staff and Centre. We are truly indebted to you for this heartfelt effort. The pandemic has posed such a unique situation. Jon and I think back to when our 3 children were very small and the thought of having to pay childcare (our greatest household expense) for no service is something were not sure we could have handled. It might have been too huge an ask. We understand the ...stress and fear of using up limited resources at a time of uncertainty. For those of you we did not hear from, please know that this might not automatically mean youve lost your spaces. We want to help, please reach out. You are all wonderful and valued Families and we are committed to the well being of your children. We want your children to be excited, participate in our activities we post on Facebook and feel secure in knowing their friends and Educators are waiting to see them all again soon. Kindest Regards, Jon and Karen

Parents and Guardians, We have some good news from the Government of New Brunswick: Please see attached memo (in comments) from our Minister of Education. To be clear, we are continuing to pay all our staff full time wages during this time and we need and much appreciate your help to do so. Kind regards Jon and Karen

How has Everyone been adjusting to our new world? I hope you are taking some time to enjoy family activities and snuggles together, while following our Public Health Advisories. I know its hard to turn off the news but please be mindful that little minds are more susceptible to the stress they see and feel around them. If they have questions, you can remind them that all the adults around them are working together to keep everyone safe. We have been assessing options fo...r supporting Families and Staff. We recognize these last few days have presented much uncertainty and questions. Thank you to Everyone for your patience while we have taken some time to determine some answers and a path on which to move forward. Our Government has posed an option we feel is beneficial to all, which is to continue billing Families as usual. We understand from a Government Memo received Wednesday evening that all Families will be given additional financial consideration and assistance as needed. We encourage all Families to reach out to us as soon as you can if you need help, and we will communicate to the Government on your behalf. Our Government assures us they will work with Families so you will not feel undue financial stress. Parents, we will text or email a copy of your April invoices today. Please private message us your contact information (if different from what we have on file) on our Facebook page or at [email protected] Once again, Thank you for your support and patience while we work through these uncertain weeks together. And remember, we are here to take messages and calls to answer any questions and offer any support we can. Stay well Everyone. Kind Regards, Jon and Karen
